    Default Announcement: Terrae Expugnandae GOLD

Yes, there will be another version of TE, GOLD version. This will be a combination of 5.0 and 5.1, which added small tweaks and a few new features added in, all graphical so far. Once the features have more work done on them ill post pics, and ill post a list of features/tweaks it will have as soon as i've more certain of whats going in it. It will not make major changes, consider it the final polished version of the mod, with all the rought bits polished up and extra shiny bits.

Oh, and i intend to make it save game compatible.

First of the new features that will be in the GOLD version: new settlement and port models for the campaign map:

(these are all still work in progress and are likely to be improved)
    Barbarian culture:

Eastern culture: (used by carthaginian, eastern and egyptian cultures)

    Greek culture:

    Roman culture:

    Other features of Gold:
-new grasses and flowers on battlefield courtsey of PROMETHEUS ts and the Res Gestae mod
    -small law bonuses for buildings
-more balanced unit and campaign settings
-(hopefully)fixed formation files so no more drag freezes
-other fixes for other bugs with 5.1

First post updated with pics of one of the new features that will be in GOLD: new models for settlements and ports on the campaign map. Barbarian, greek and roman cultures done, rest to do.

Excellent job, Lusted, another great reason to play RTW. 'Tis a pity that my sibling(s) seem to hog the game computer whenever I want to play on it, though, so I'll have to find a way to sneak on to it. :hmmm:

Younger. Yes, yes, I'll ambush them using keen RTW tactics. Remember kids, video games in no way make people more vio-*attacks sister with a gladius*-lent. She'll be fine, don't worry so much about it.

On a more serious note: Crap, I only have 4.0 and haven't played it in a few weeks. (Blame trips and the like)

First post updated with slightly edit roman and greek culture settlements and ports.

I can tell you of another feature that will be in, PROMETHEUS ts has kindly agreed to let me use the new grass textures that are coming out in the roman pack of Res Gestae.

Nope, not using those ship models as i do not like them. They're just too big, and too high in poly count compared to the vanila ones.

This is indeed great news! BTW, I wonder if its possible for the AI's to frequently merge their armies in gold edition? divided armies are very easy to annihilate. *salutes*

Lusted, can't you get quick battles to work by just deleting the quick file in the custom folder? EB's didn't work, but when we did that they now all work.

I can yes, but does that generate a new file to replace the old one? Because i want to keep install as simple as possible with my mod, and if it doesn't generate a new one after the old is deleted, well, quick battles aren't that great a loss.

Yup, you can carry on your current campaign, and the changes gold will make will take effect in it.
