[Hotseat Tavern] - The Green Dragon Inn Thread

The Norseman suggested to stick a discussion thread as the multiplayer area in TATW is growing by each week and we could really use a thread where we could discuss things such as upcoming hotseats, discussion of rules, faction selections, ideas, votes, hotseat promotion and just everything hotseat related.

So here we go

Upcoming hotseat: The Battle For Middle Earth

Alright guys, I realize most of you are sleeping now, except for the Americans

but I would like to notify all of you that the invite-only-game is soon up. We are working on building a GMT based turn setup and we think we have succeeded, but we still have some testing to do. I got an excellent Content Artist to make us some signatures and artwork and Ill post it as soon as I have the thread up! We are creating this hotseat in the hope of it being faster than the others and more reliable. That is why we have invited the specific people. This is the list I have so far: (And remember this is only if we make the GMT turn based setup work, which we will most likely do)

Mordor: Dwarven Berserker GMT +2
Dale: The Norseman GMT +1
Dwarves: Emperor of Hell GMT +1
Silvans: King Bumi GMT +1
Isengard: Nice GMT +1
OOTMM: Knicolas2 GMT +1
Rhun: Gallus GMT +1
Gondor: Ranger GMT +0
Eriador: edse GMT +2
Rohan: Hross GMT +0
OOG: Willowran GMT -4
Harad: StealthFox GMT -6
High Elves: Gimli10 GMT -8

Please send me a notification about which faction you wish to be or just post it here and I will update the list! Oh and there might be a change of factions, but not right now.

Right now, the faction list is still in developement and can possibily be revised depending on how things go.

Great News, Admin password has been un-locked and now will be open for the Hotseats!!!!

Alright, but I want everyone to know that no one of the players participating the hotseat will have access to the admin password and I will know if you somehow have taken the password and abused it. That is why I wish for a neutral person to create the hotseat. Gimli says he has found one to do it, though I must know his name before I start the hotseat. What this means is that no one of us will either create the password or the hotseat. That is what the neutral player will do. So Gimli, please tell Ngugi or something how you create the hotseat and how to create the admin password. He musnt create it yet though because we need to fill in the faction slots.

I've done testing and I've found the way to do it. So everyone chooses a faction, mentions his timezone, someone creates a logical order, I change the files, send them to the admin, he starts the hotseat with the changed files and then we can (hopefully) have a fast hotseast

Okay, fair warning for everyone.

If you abuse the admin password or cheat in any other way you'll be reported to site moderation as cheating in games is against the rules. You'll also potentially be banned from all future hotseats.

EoH, not to worry. All that will be done by a responsible admin. Right now's admin password is only a temp and will be explained to the admin "On how to be admin".

Decided on the High Elves, Silvans were a tough choice, but in the end High Elves look more fun

Nice is the first in list on the reserves and he will be included in the hotseat if some of the players decline. Lol I kinda want to play as Isengard just to beat Nice

Yeah, but we also waited for people to respond and you didnt reply to me when I sent the PM. Several people responded before you, thus securing their spots in their hotseat.

No, no. I don't think you quite understand, Nice picked Rohan and as Gondor Nice must be Rohan.
