If similar information regarding this has been posted, then I apologize for making a repetitive question, but I did search, yet found none. So, here we are
I just remembered something plain and spontaneous that nobles in medieval age are not commonly addressed by their full names, but by their first name plus the title of estates which they inherited, like Frederick von Hohenstaufen or Gerard de Rideford. The title of estates passes onto only the heir, so it's kind of odd to see all sons and maybe uncles of someone with the by name "de Normandie" to all bear that by_name.
I want to ask if it is possible to make all by_names into Epithets (like the trait system). In details, I imagine making the character who possesses a "title" ancillary have 100% chance of gaining a "title" trait on next turn, the one that replaces his surname with the new "title" epithet. The description doesn't have to be as complex as the "title" ancillary, just something like "entitled as lord/duke/count of...". Still, it will be gigantic since all PSFs have title ancillaries, too.
