The Red Keep and the Iron Throne
The Red Keep sits upon Aegon's Hill. According to history, Aegon came to the third highest hill upon his arrival to the King's Landing, three hundred years ago. There, Aegon I built a fort of earth and wood and then commissioned the creation of a permanent royal palace which was completed by Maeglor I Targaryen. The beautiful pale red stone, complete with seven massive towers is the symbol of power and authority for the King's of Westeros and their royal family.
The Iron Throne, the greatest symbol of every King that has ever ruled Westeros. The throne was made of the swords that were given to Aegon I the Conqueror by those who submitted his will by choice or by force. Within this hall, the King sits and goes over the daily courtly matters with the Lords and his close advisers.
