Darth mod (11FD) install error Help Please

Alright, I've messed around with it long enough I feel it is time to start asking the community if they know what is up.

The issue I am have is when I try to install "DarthMod_Shogun_II_v34" it get to 26% complete and the gives me the ol' "data.exe: this file contains invalid data (error 11FD)" thing. I didn't move the file anywhere after download just started it from my "download" folder. I also am sure I am running it in "Admin" mode.
Now, for the things I have tried:

1 - Downloading from all mirrors

2 - Manually telling it what folder in install into

3 - Re starting steam

4 - Un-installing all of Shogun 2/FOTS and re-installing

5 - No antivirus/firewall running in background

6 - Re-starting computer

7 - Running with no programs in background

Hopefully some one has had this problem already and knows what to do. If I think of anything else I will post.

Thank you for the response . I have not yet had a chance to test the end around idea but wanted to let you know I will as soon as I get the time. Fingers crossed it will let me play your awesome MOD.

Sadly after reviewing my problem it seems as though the posted answer wont work. Unless of course I am missing something. The file I am opening is not a archive but a application installer (.exe). Here are the Details:

The file the installer gets stuck on at 26% percent is this one "C:\...\DMSUninstall.bat" not sure if that helps at all but the more data the better I feel.

i am having the save problem but with darth mod v 5.0 finale edition and i have no idea how to fix it i have tried all the same fixes but nothing worked plz help
