    Wow, installer was awesome (funny terms!) and I played one battle.
    It was really awesome. The game machanics are great but the lag was terrible. Not sure if I can fix that. The lag is probaly my fault.

    Now to try campaign!

    Maybe the enhanced smoke is to struggle down your machine, this part gets an rework later for improving performance.

    Problem with campaign, passive AI. The CAI doesn't do any recruiting. I do like how everything is 1 turn, more money and time can go toward the war!

    I had that problem ^ Il try to run as admin next time!

    PS i also put graphics to low..... Still some lag.

    Iīve decided to make the front page announcement when we deliver out our first hotfixing patch.
    When campaign is running as wanted. itīs simple easier for us this way.

    I can only say how i solved this the first time.
    1.) starting vanilla ETW
    2.) close it after starting a campaign
    3.) reboot pc
    4.) start steam
    5.) start launcher
    -worked

    If you want a quick answer do not post any question/problem in any thread but in the related thread. Team members focus in different game's field for a better support. For example my priority is startup problems and it is difficult for me search in general bags thread for one!

    If you respect this, you actually buy us time to make mod better in shorter time!

    I'm dissapointed. I apprecaite what eevryone does. Dont take this wrong but I really thought intall and download would be easier. Couldnt get download from mirror site to work at all.

    Iīm uploading and uploading to create more mirrors, cannot do more. My upload speed is about 45kbs...
    Uploading it atm @ icyfiles. They give users a minimum download with 400kbs up to 2mb/s,you need not to registry and there are no cpatchas or something like this.

    Love the mod, been waiting for this for absolute ages!!! Just wondering about unit movement, it seems like it isn't all that far from Richmond to Washington D.C? I thought unit movement was heavily reduced in the new version? Thanks in advance for clarifying this

    I deleted the patch_ge.pack file and the local ge_pack.file, wich were shown as nonvanilla and non ACW, now my empire doesnt work anymore... in which folder do i have to put them back??

    Hi Shokh,


    I am new on this forum. My compliments to you and your team for this excellent mod.
    I correctly installed the mod and I can enter the game; then I chose the Confederate side.
    However I found some odd things:


    1. The Union's reactivity seems too passive. I was able to conquer Washington D.C. and Philadelphia in just two turns, although I chose the difficulty "very hard" for campaign and battle.

    2. There is NO technology tree and no possibility for the scientific research; so I can't improve my artillery. In fact I may recruit only 5lb horse artillery.

    3. It is not possible to recruit ships of any kind, even if I build military harbour.

    4. The Canada belongs to Inuit Nations which has got the Union Jack!

    5. At the beginning of the game I trade with all nations, but subsequently some nations ask me to deal again with me!

    6. In 1861 Mexico declares war to the Confederate States!

    7. The Confederate Cavalry can shoot only when it is dismounted and this is a limitation.


    Is it possible to solve these problems in the mod 3.1 / 3.2?

    Not all have to be solved, some is working as it should.

    1. Is known and under progress for fixing.
    2. Working as intended, get better artillery buy build better artillery production.
    3. Working as intended, ships get some love later.
    4. What?
    5. Goes in one hand with number 1.
    6. Can happen, we have to see how it acts in the patched campaign but the campaign should never simple reflect 5 years of history, where is the fun?
    7. Working as intended, otherwise the CAI is using them for dumb moves.

    The alternative mirror is taking me to a site call ge.tt or something like that and has no download just a blank page. The first mirror is filefront and says that its servers are busy?
