The majority of the African population, then and now, is black, and the Confederacy was very much under the belief that black people needed to be enslaved in order to be "civilized". Prior poster said they wished to "paint the world with gray" implying they wish for a Grand Campaign covering the world, so that he can play as the Confederacy and conquer the world. I jokingly bite in that the nations of Africa will be particularly ferocious in fighting them back, being as virtually every other major nation in the world had by this time abolished slavery and were at the very least not actively kidnapping and exporting vast numbers of blacks out of Africa, which the Confederacy would very likely have done in order to maintain their growing nation.

Just wondering, and I have no idea if this is a "sensitive" topic or anything (I'm ignorant to the situation) but have you, the ACW team, thought of combining your mod with the Victorian mod? It's the same time period and it would be world. Not sure how plausible it is in technicality though. I'm sure it can be done.

Well, we are not sensitive here.
Our mod is focused on the american civil war, including artwork and music and other stuff which is directly related with this setting. All other places are side theatres here.
When iīm playing for example austria, why i have then the complete civil war style around?

I donīt see any benefits. Beside some units for other factions and maybe portraits there isnīt anything which can be used here.
And the downside for this small addition would be to take away a chance for a general mod for this time, not a good deal.
I really prefer here a coexistent state. If you mostly interested in the civil war factions and the history about, play ACW. If you are a player which is more interested in the european powers, try victoria when itīs out.

Just fought a battle with 3.2 installed and it was a huge slaughter, battle difficulty was hard and me on the csa was suprised the i couldnt use the canister for my arty so it came that the iron brigade and two irish brigades wiped out my volunteers until my regulars showed up.

in general the unions just retreaded when they suffered losses from nearly 90%
