I still don't understand the reasoning, it has it's own histories, place names, faction names, cities, towns, weapons and equipment which aren't entirely historical, but tailored to fit the factions.
How is it different than any other fictional mod? The point is to make something people can play in a Total War game. To be able to play as the Kergits not simply rename the Turks, but make them look like Kergits, and to dominate Calradia or just fight battles.
What else would you have? It can't make you dinner or cuddle.
I think implementing Mount and Blade as a Total War mod would be an interesting concept. I just have trouble figuring out how they would implement the factions? Would it just be Swadia, Vaegir, Rhodoks, Sarranid Sultanate, Khergits, and Nords as starting factions? Would there be other factions to unlock?
Let's say we use Kingdoms, then there are 8 factions right?
