Infantry:
Mujahideen - 4,500 men - 6000 denarii - 2 days - Religious zealots, usually dressed in all black, and fighting with spears and wicker tower-shields. While poorly trained and comparatively lightly armed to most of their Christian enemies, they are fueled by a burning religious fervor and will not retreat easily, often preferring to die in the name of Allah than disgrace Him by withdrawing.
Mujahideen Swordsmen - 4,500 men - 6000 denarii - 2 days - Religious zealots, usually dressed in all black, and fighting with scimitars and wicker shields. While poorly trained and comparatively lightly armed to most of their Christian enemies, they are fueled by a burning religious fervor and will not retreat easily, often preferring to die in the name of Allah than disgrace Him by withdrawing.
Cavalry:
Bedouin Archers - 4,000 men - 6000 denarii - 2 days - These unarmored horsemen, instantly noticeable from their heavy head wraps, fight with composite bows, peppering the enemy with repeated volleys from the saddle while rapidly moving from place to place to avoid a grisly death at the hands of their annoyed opponents. While they can move quickly enough to avoid all but light enemy cavalry, they are vulnerable to the stronger bows and greater range of enemy foot archers, and needless to say they should avoid melee engagements like the plague.
Arab Light Lancers - 2,500 men - 9000 denarii - 4 days - Light melee cavalry outfitted in leather and scale armor, in addition to armored headwraps, and sporting lances, scimitars and wicker shields. They charge into battle on small horses, built for speed at the expense of power, and carry extremely long lances to compensate for their lack of ability to simply smash and bowl over an enemy line. These horsemen are extremely agile and powerful on the charge, capable of cracking gaps in an enemy line, but will die in droves if left to get bogged down in melee.
Faris Horse Archers - 1,500 men - 14000 denarii - 6 days - Drawn from the Arab upper classes, these heavier horse archers ride into battle wearing lamellar and chain armor, and carrying powerful composite bows. They are equally capable of shooting their enemies to death, or cutting them to ribbons in close combat with their wicked scimitars.
Askari Riders - 1,000 men - 18000 denarii - 8 days - Composed of the extreme upper crust of the Arab nobility, these ultra-heavy cavalrymen ride into battle in high-quality, plate-reinforced lamellar and heavy chainmail, wielding lances and a variety of hand weapons (but usually scimitars or maces). Their armored horses can ride most enemy infantry down underfoot, and failing that they can just brain their enemies with their hand weapons or lances.
Missiles:
Arab Archers - 4,000 men - 4000 denarii - 1 day - The foot archers of the Arab armies are far less glamorous than their mounted counterparts, and are often made up of poor conscripts or slaves; as a result, they are less motivated and often completely unarmored. Nevertheless, they still perform a vital support role, and their longer bows possess a greater range than those used by the horse archers.
