What all happened in the Shire at the year 1462?
Westmarch added to shire
The birth of Holfast Gardner (son of Frodo Gardner, and grandson of Sam Gamgee and Rosie Cotton).
Edit: Also, Samwise was elected Mayor for the 6th time.

@Wolfeson, not quite there yet, according to the Appendix, only one of your two answers was correct. Can you guess which one hehe?
@Charger Bolt, incorrect.
Look farther into the appendix, they're both right. The timeline in Appendix B only shows Sam being elected mayor, but the family tree for Sam in Appendix C clearly shows Holfast was born the same year.
Appendíx B should have the answer.
Well, like I said, the answer in Appendix B is Sam being elected Mayor for the 6th time.
Whatever. I'll count that correct, though that's only one part of the full answer. Your turn.
I'm curious, Bowmaster, what else were you looking for? You said Appendix B should have the answer, but I read that section from start to finish and can't find anything else associated with S.R. 1426 (I also checked TA 1426, nothing there either).
Anyway, question time. Which Rohirrim commander known to have fought at (and survived) the Battle of the Hornburg was not present at the Battle of the Pelennor Fields?
It is such a quiet thing, to fall. But far more terrible is to admit it.

Lol, is there a record for shortest-lived question? This may be it.
Correct, your turn.
According to HoME, who wrote the Akallabeth?

Iirc there's stuff about a guy called Albion in it aswell? In the same chapter anyway.

Technically i guess they both are since they're part of the legendarium (and neither is part of the final version).
