Who was Baldor?
It is such a quiet thing, to fall. But far more terrible is to admit it.

Baldor the Hapless son of Brego son of Eorl. In TA 2570 he entered the Dark Door of Dunharrow and was never seen again alive (though the gold clad warrior the grey company saw was likely him).

Hey my last question was about trees i'll have you know
How many days in a Shire year, how long were the months and what is the important difference between our year and theirs?
Were there but a tree in this godforsaken place i would have hanged myself.
The calendar used by the Hobbits were divided the year into twelve months which, every month in the Hobbit year had exactly thirty days. This totals only 360 days, so the left-over five or six additional days in each year were invested in a pair of festivals, one at each solstice. The two days of Yule fell around the Winter solstice, between December and January; the first day of Yule was the last day of one year, and the second day of Yule was the new-year's day of the next. Six months later the festival of Lithe ornamented the Summer solstice, and lasted either three or four days: the first day of Lithe began the festival, followed by Midyear's Day itself, followed in leap years by an Overlithe, and then the festival ended on the second day of Lithe.
Because of this Hobbit innovation that kept the weeks in the same place every year, which they called the Shire-reform, the calendar shown on the right is always correct (except, of course, that the Overlithe occurs only on leap years).

You are supposed to wait for the right answer Smoes, somebody else might have the right answer.
Woops sorry about that, though i didn't give the other answer (though i did make it easier). I edited it so now not everyone will get the clue though that does put you at an advantage since you read it
PS
I just realised that he did answer the question i asked, i just didn't word it correctly or rather, clearly enough. It should be;
So should it just be given to Feanaro? I mean he did answer what was asked.What do hobbits actually call themselves? Also what do the Rohirrim actually call them?

I do not play. I started it and withdrew for the simple fact that when I was unemployed I would see all new threads first and there has in the entirity of the thread only been a single question that I could not answer right away or knew exactly where to look up.
I suspected this from the start so to be fair Ngugi and I decided not to play; we are both active here and have a bit of knowledge of Lore. Though my activity has since declined when I got a job.
I am glad to see the thread flourish though- it enlightens.
I think i'll just give it to you since nobody else seems to want to answer
Holbytla is the Old English translation from Rohirric. Westron and Rohirric are related in the same way as English / Old English, Rohirric is an older, more archaic form of Westron. So i was looking for the Rohirric form of the word, not the translation. Which is kūd-dūkan
