Correct, the blade (Anduril, originally Narsil) was in fact forged by the dwarf Telchar. The line in the book is:
Which sounds like a reference to the Elessar rather than to his reforged sword of dwarvish origin."It takes more to make a king than a piece of elvish glass, or a rabble such as this."
Edit: we need some new players so I can spread some rep around!

let's see the new question, but leave people some more time to answer, if you want to see new players..

Very well, it shall be so:
Tell me what happened to each of the 13 Dwarves in "The Hobbit" after the events of "The Hobbit" (note: for those who died in "The Hobbit", mention where they died and what happened to them after their death). Good luck
One does not desire the power of a nation,
So much as one treasures reputation.
This poem is not a 'trap', nor a 'trep',
It is simply a device for the collection of rep.
Thorin died battle

Dwalin live long life 340 years
Balin helped recapture Moria became lord of Moria but was killed my orcs there.
Kili and Fili died defending thorin in battle of five armies
Dori, Nori, Bifur, Bufer, Bombur returned to lonely mnt and become rich

Who was originally named Artanis and Nerwen?
Correct your turn
This next question has to do with the new movie. I'm sorry if you haven't seen it and can't answer the question. I'll try to keep spoilers to a minimum.
In The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, one of the dwarves is poisoned by an orc's arrow. What is the arrow that it is so deadly? What is the supposed cure (according to the movie)? And why would the cure not work at all if the movie had stayed true to the lore? (There are two parts to the last question).
Dang i don't know this one. But weed. And I have now clue
Poison
Kingsfoil (Athelas)
Tauriel couldn't have used it (she wasn't the king of Gondor)
It didn't grow in Laketown, and people there wouldn't have used it to feed pigs

Well, it was a long shot anyway. Good question though!

Well, here are the answers in order:
The arrow had a "Morgul shaft" which implies that it has the same properties as the Witch King's Morgul blade which he used to stab Frodo.
Kingsfoil (Athelas).
Athelas only grows where Numenoreans dwelt, i.e. Arnor and Gondor.
Athelas does not help against being stabbed by a Morgul blade (weapon in this case). Athelas is only used to cure the Black Breath. In order to be saved, Frodo had to be taken to Elrond, who, while being a very powerful Elf, also possessed Vilya, which has inherent healing properties. Even so, Frodo would've been beyond hope had he arrived a few hours later.
Your turn Redgrave.
If it's alright, I'll pass my go onto anyone who wants it
(if you're reading this and nobody has asked a question yet, go for it!)

Ill
