this or THERA for a beginner ?

yes ! That´s right. Which one is best to start with and which one is most complete ? By the looks of it this is the newer one, right ?

Well, Thera is more complete, but I would suggest you Akthross too. At start take an easy faction though.

This mod provides a great many non-standard features of Total War. It isn't really complete, as there is no 2-D done as Eothese (a modding legend) couldn't get anyone to do that for him, which is a shame as this had great potential.

However (In My Opinion) Thera is one of the greatest mods ever made and is also partially made by Eothese, who deserves a great amount of +rep for both.

Thera is the most complete and one of the best mods ever made, however Akthross has some unique scripting and some excellent units, which are definitely worth the look.

I'd try both, as they're extremely unique and different, but I'd bet Thera would keep you occupied for a bit longer.
