    Default Error message in GIMP

I'm sorry. I know this is the second time I have posted today in this forum. But I installed GIMP version 2.6.11 which I was informed included the .dds plugin. But I get this error message when I try to open a file.
    GIMP error message

    Help is appreciated

This looks like the TGA version of that file. Or did you try to open the TGA.DDS version?

Compress and attach that file here for someone to check.

Check this article as well, I referenced it in my DDS for GIMP thread.

I tried the .tga version. The .dds version was nowhere to be seen.

The second file (#banner_symbol_aragon.tga) is the DDS file as the extension is hidden if the Format (DDS here) is known. It's the TGA file that is faulty (it has a zero byte size) - it can be noticed already in thumbnail preview: DDS shows, TGA doesn't.

My guess - someone added 'dummy' files to save space. It's a thing connected how the game reads the files (but normally not needed) Simply open the DDS file without mipmaps and then 'save as' the TGA file's name if you wish to have that format.

Thanks. I should have mentioned this already but this is SS 6.3 that I am editing. I reinstalled GIMP. Then I tried to download the plugin from your link but I need a 64-bit version and they only have a 32-bit version. Any ideas?

I believe the latest versions of GIMP have got the DDS plug-in already installed.
