I don't base my vote on how a candidate says he will vote, but rather on the votes he/she has already cast. Therefore, like last time, I only have one question:
What do you bring to the table in terms of experience/knowledge TWC-wise and what makes you better suited for the job than other candidates?
Note: nobody has applied yet, but it's meant for the future candidates![]()

What is your stance concerning the process of patronisation as discussed in the current discussion thread?
7 terms worth of service, I've seen pretty much seen every kind of application from all types of different candidates.
While its not pretty to look at if qualifies under the constitution. Remember citizenship is award for contributions to the site not a ivy league placement so going on and writing long essays on why you should be a citizen should not be encouraged rather if the contribution were presented in an easy to find and look at way that could be and area for improvement.

The Curial officers are being appointed from a small pool of applicants, when an applicant has previously served as an officer they are more likely to be re-elected which reduces the opportunity for new candidates to serve. There should be a provision for an election where only new candidates may apply to increase the pool of candidates and bring fresh views to the Curia.
Do you think that there is a concern that too few new candidates apply, and if so that a large contributing factor is that the current process favours prior officers over new ones?

That's something on my mind too. It seems there's a regular crowd going for these jobs, but there are alot more citizens. I disagree with ybbon because there are quite a few citizens and it is by no means a small pool. I wonder why out of a massive pool of 600+ citizens we only rarely have more than 10 candidates.
Guys like Leonidas are obviously very suited for the job and as he says the experience wil convince quite a few voters that he's qualified for the job. I still feel new guys should get a chance too, but they have to apply first though lol![]()

Hold on there young Boustrophedon! You'll get me shot!
I asked it as a discussion point, I'm not saying it is my opinion. I realise you have to apply to be voted for so it is simply a question. If I believed it, it would be a little daft on my part to say the least to moan about it and then not apply!![]()

It seems the Curia goes through these cycles were people keep saying that new people should get elected and the only reason they should get elected is the fact that they are new. Look at the current CdeC, there are like 3 or 4 old members the rest are fairly new.

I meant that there's usually a balance, but I don't often see guys apply I hadn't seen before in a curatorial role. Which is why I said this...
In the end it doesn't matter if there are better candidates. The ones who apply and take the effort of answering some questions will get votes, those who never apply will obviously never fulfill any roles. That being said I do like the mix of the current councillors.

Well if elected it would be my first time so experience is out of the question. I would like to say I offer a new perspective within the cdec with an extensive rpg background plus my work within the content staff. The qualifications for the cdec isn't much, though I will say that new citizens are at a huge disadvantage when it comes to these types of elections as you stated people always vote for the seasoned veteran with a familiar face. Its become so predictable that you can actually bet own who will win each election, I haven't been wrong lol
I have no problems with the patronization process with the exception of the 3 month waiting period but as it seems I am alone in that venture nothing will become of it

What will your approach to the job you're applying for in regards to time invested be like; or in other words, how do you set your priorities of time spend on TWC?
How do you research an applicant's contributions?
How do you try to get yourself an impression of his attitude and behaviour?
Edit:
Ah and what is the role of a curator's assistant?

I like to search their post history and watch the progression from when they first started at twc to what they have become when they have applied for their citizenship. the best way to find out someones attitude is by asking the ones closest to him Ie the people where he posts the most
curator's assistant, does basically whatever the curator says luckily for me i had a great boss![]()
Candidates,
If you entered for the last election, how you will contest this election differently?

The perception of Comphrehension.
It's the end of days{the end of the world}, and you're sitting on a park bench with your favorite sandwhich/drink.
{In my case that would be a double stuffed Rueben sandwich* with thousand island dressing and a Mountain Berry Blast Poweraide.}
A person comes along and sits down on the bench with you. So.....Will you...
1. Offer the person half your sandwhich and some drink?
****or*****
2. Get munching on your sandwhich without a giving the other person a second thought.
3. Neither option 1 or 2. Please enlighten us...

How do you view your experience or lack of experience in CdeC? Why is/isn't it valuable?
