Did they improve the animations? The way the crossbowmen held their swords looked ridiculous in the early videos.

What have they changed in the past 2 updates? I haven't been on because I got to the level where you can make your own class and then realised that anything you could equip was unlocked at level 30 or some nonsense.
Just seemed pointless to bother from then on haha.

Just hopping in here to say that I love the Scottish Claymore with the Toledo Steel, Convex Edge, and the Balanced Pommel, absolute killer.

Personally I prefer the Warhammer, the sound of it smacking into things is great!

I'll just stick to M&B personally. I don't really like this as much as Warband.
Don't know why - the fun factor in this just seems to be much lower than M&B's in my opinion.

Maybe because its still in beta? That MAY possibly be an answer as to why it isn't as fun as a game that's been out for several years now?

Yeah i've noticed that, its pretty irritating running up to someone with a 2 handed melee weapon thinking you'll have more reach than them with a 1 hander.... nope.

2 handed melee weapons are amazingly powerfull though. If you get a good hit on their temple, you might get an instant kill.

My Knight in Heavy armour and a spear+shield is very op. Also the Scottish sword is ridiculous, remember to swing at medium/light armour and to thrust at heavy armour.

I agree, the combat system is terrible, it's impossible to hurt people with the top armor and perks unless you have the top weapons and perks. All the animations (bandaging, executions, revive) are stupid and add nothing to the game other then making you an easy target for every archer or xbowman on the enemy team. The mini-games like reloading a xbow are basically the same thing too. Finally, the whole game feels like a MMO because at the starting levels you're basically useless against anyone higher level then you and you have to spend hours grinding just to have a reasonable chance of doing well.

What are you talking about the starter classes are well balanced, anyone whose good at M&B can take down a knight as a footman in this game. Combat is much better than M&B imo.

its system reminds me of cRPG in which low level people are useless and high levels just farm off the low level people for "fun"

The execution animation does irritate me sometimes, like when you're 0.869765 away from finishing the animation then a horseman bumps you..... PS : Spear + shield players are W**RES

The starting classes are maxed out classes, with perks that give you better aim for example, so it's not true to say that you start as cannon fodder.

Anyway, I have been asking around to start a clan. Please post if you would want to join or give suggestions
