Both the german and the Ottoman diplomats are welcomed into Paris. The german is brought to Émile François Loubet, on his orders, as the Ottoman diplomat is brought to Alexandre Ribot.

Alexandre Ribot rises from his seat when the diplomat enters the room he walks to him and shakes his hand "Welcome good sir! So this is what you came to France for, yes to have talks about trade and an alliance? Well trade would be good, yes enrich both our nations... seems reasonable, but I must ask how much do you wish entangle our two economies?" He ponders the Turks words for a short time before continuing "And as for an alliance I'm not sure. Yes once our nations were good allies but times have changed and so have both our nations... I wonder why you want an alliance and what good would it do for France."

OOC What level trade are you talking and how would the alliance benefit France

"On the matter of trade we are prepared to offer lower tariffs and taxes for French companies in the middle and vise versa, as well as free passage through the Bosphorus for French merchant ships. As for the matter of the alliance we believe it would be mutually benicial as it would enable both of our nations to to maintain their holds on their North African lands as well as the Empires position to support any Balkan blocs the French may hve interest in forming. In to our navy helping protect French ships in the Eastern Mediterranean, and the Sultan's religious athourity to help keep the Muslim populace of your colonies out of a state of revelution. With prehaps other strategic interests that may a raise depending on how world politic go overtime"

Loubet stays seated not bothering to greet the German in a friendly manor, instead he just turns to him. "Is this a joke? You take French land and than you try to act like we are the aggressors. Now tell me do you really expect me to agree to this after all Germany has done?"

OOC You just took French land a few years back.

A large grin covers Alexandre's face as he nods his head. "How could i refuse such a fair offer?! Things will be like they were in the old days the French and the Turks working together as allies. And as for trade we can do that as well, note we would like trade flow and in large amounts so we might both grow rich off this agreement."

OOC We will go for the level 4 trade

The diplomat removes his hat and looks straight into Ribot's eyes with his own, revealing his bald head, sharp features and a pair harsh black eyes. He smiles and speaks warmly with his Spanish accent, but it looks rather twisted and forced, and the warmth does not reach his eyes. Without a doubt, this is Victoriano Huerta, Field Marshal of the Imperial Mexican Army and the so-called 'Jackal of Mexico'...

"Quite well, Your Excellency. The country remains ever stable since we suppressed the last Republicanos in the 1880's, and I have been sent here to secure an extension of our past deals so that my country may remain that way. Mexico remembers France as the glorious power and good friend that brought her the Emperors, and thus the stability and prosperity that comes with their firm but just hand, and we would most like these fond memories to relive themselves in the minds of our people.

He cleared his throat and procured a number of papers with the Emperor's signature affixed to each and every one of them. "I ask that France sell Mexico her Lebel M1886 rifles, Berthier M1892 carbines and Mitrailleuse M1895 Gatling guns, as well as of course the necessary 8mm Lebel ammunition, at well below market prices and without quantitative limitations, so that the Imperial Mexican Army will not only remain up-to-date with some of the latest and best European weaponry, but that we will always have plentiful reserves both to supply new recruits and to replace any broken-down equipment - something of a problem in Mexico's climate and terrain. In exchange, the Empire is prepared to reduce tariffs on French goods ever further, and to totally eliminate restrictions on investment by French companies. Is this proposal agreeable, Your Excellency?"

Ribot is taken back a little by the mans eyes but quickly composes himself giving a grin. "Good, good to hear. Well yes this all sounds reasonable to me, good for France and for Mexico, but trade is always good aslong as it is stable. Tell the Emperor France agrees to these terms, and give the Emperor my best wishes, will you?"

OOC That does not mean you can take it lol.

"Excellent." A true smile, full of genuine happiness as opposed to the usual sadistic glee that manifested itself whenever he was about to torture a bandit or rebel or suspect to death, formed on Huerta's face. "I knew we could count on our old allies in France. It has been a pleasure doing business with you sir, and I hope to bring my grandchildren to France the next time I visit - and I assure you, I've every intention of doing so in person, heheh. I shall inform the Emperor of your well-wishes, he will be glad to know he still has friends in the nation that gave his father his crown."
