France help?

Im playing france now, and i just almost hit my infamy limit(so no more warmongering for a decade). My question is - what now? Just let the military tradition wither away and the army maintanance wasted? I have like 1 colonist per year so colonizing isnt an option.

Should i keep taking provinces that are making cloth and iron - or journey to asia and only annex rich provinces with spices and chinaware? Should i take cloth and iron provinces at all? Is european expansion really worth it?

Colonizing is fine with one colonist per year, especially if you have nothing else to do. I advise that you simply let your money build up, colonize, and make infrastructure until your infamy has gone down.

If your not going to be fighting then you can reduce land maintanence, it will save you a boat load of money over the years.
