That, the CCV-L, and the M8 all seem fairly suitable for the expeditionary role, why the Royal Marines didn't buy half a dozen of a type or something similar is beyond me. It would certainly help in any Falklands like situation. I'm not expert on the USMC, but it appears to me something like the M8 would be more suitable than the M1 in the majority of situations, certainly friendlier when providing security for any humanitarian operation at the very least, if a Somalia happened again that is.
Will post something in a short while.
Here's on for you
Absolutely, I do not understand why the Royal Marines are forced to rely on the other services for all support. I understand the light infantry role, but organic support is very important.
The M1A1 is barely expeditionary and most MAGTF planners hate it. Weighs too much and takes up too much space. But before that they used the M60 which wasn't exactly small.
A traditional cavalry tank of sorts would be the best imo. Or move to wheeled gun platforms.
Agreed, the Viking was a step up for the Royal Marines, but it seems they are more focused with helicopters atm. AFAIK They don't even use Warriors. The British don't operate any form of light battlefield APC and won't do unless FRES finally draws to a conclusion. The Warrior is a heavily armoured IFV, and the new FV432 Bulldogs are heavier armoured still. Whilst this is not a problem for the regular army, the Marines IMO really need something, an up-armoured Saxon with a .50 or an H&K GMG would have been good enough tbh.
Haha, I posted this one in the old thread.
wow there must be alot of names on that pic

Or here. Same problem.
Correct, Swedish light tank. Sicknero, post something!

Archer Artillery System?
Aure entuluva!
Well done that man. FH77 BW L52 Archer Artillery System from Sweden.
The main vehicle is based on a 6x6 Volvo construction truck and the gun is a 155mm howitzer. From moving to ready to fire, is an amazing 30 seconds, and from shooting to scooting, another 30 seconds.

I actually saw that first time in the game EndWar.
Thought it was ridiculous - artillery on trucks? C'mon game.
Then I looked it up. Remember it ever since.
Well, next one here.
MOAR GUNS
Aure entuluva!
Hehe, I'll pass on that one, too busy today to post another.
Btw, well done Sicknero.
I'll go with an AM-97 Mobile Artillery platform.
