New picture.
That's an odd little thing. It looks as if it might be amphibious?

I do believe you are right.
In a couple of weeks I'll be in a place where vehicles like that drive around and have mock battles

Yes, but I wouldn't want to drive it through stormy waters. Your picture is a 1915 Sizaire-Berwick Wind Wagon btw. I considered posting it in the old thread once but didn't because I had just posted another British WWI armored car, The Seabrook armored car.
The "Wind Wagon" was a 1915 Admiralty experiment. R.N.A.S. squadrons were being withdrawn from the Western Front and sent to Africa and the Near East, where the terrain wasn't suited to conventional cars. Only one was made, and it was only tested in England.

It certainly is. I didn't think that would take you long, I just love it though.
An Admiralty experiment, it was intended for the desert where convential vehicles didn't fare well. Only one was ever made though and it never left England. (Edit; Just noticed that I repeated your quote hehe)
Why the Admiralty were concerning themselves with desert warfare, I have no idea.
(An M29 would be useful around here for popping along the coast or across the bay to Trieste or Venice. I'd have a BAR or something on the front though, for getting those pesky day-trippers out of my way.)

I think so. Seems to be a vessel like the "Schienenzeppelin" .
