The two distinct features in this image are the engine cowling and the double horizontal stabilizers (they are not both equally visible but I can see the shadow of the lower
    horizontal stabilizer
    ).
So I go for the Hannover Cl.II.

Went a wee bit overboard with censorship but...it's doable.

Ugh, almost forgot about this during recent forums troubles. I guess it's time for a hint.

Famous manufacturer, although during time of this design it was more famous for civilian designs. The company lasted over 80 years....

I googled ''machine gun'' tricycle and the results seem to point towards the ultimately failed tricycle version of the Maxim gun.

Please identify the wrecked French ship:

Its legacy mainly depends on the circumstances of her last moments.

I'm gonna start with the guess....Redoubtable? A member of her crew killed Nelson shortly before the ship surrendered and then foundered in a storm.

Well it's obviously a French ship. Mid 18th century based off the design. More specifically a ship of the line. Now there were a few different gun arrangements ranging from 50 to 110. There looks to be 35ish side cannons Throw on a couple bow and stern chasers and you get in the low 70's. So i'll go with a 74 Gun model.

After looking at 18th century french warships there are only a couple of note that were wrecked and not captured.

The ones that stick out are the César (1768), Marseillais (1766), and Héros (1774)

Of those I'm gonna have to go with the Marseillais

Marseillois (more commonly known as Vengeur du peuple) is correct! César, by the way, was sank while in Bourbon service, so she would not feature the tricolore flag. She got wrecked during the tactical defeat of the Glorious First of June, but the circumstances of her loss, in combination with her revolutionary name, were exploited by the French government to give an exaggerated impression of heroic and self-sacrificing resistance against the British Navy.
