Interesting pictures. I assume they were built during the Tsarist occupation. The second one looks like a sort of 'arc de triumph'.

Yes,the first one was the arc of triumph build after the russian victory of the russian-ottoman war
later the second one was build

Heh,didnt update this as soon as i planned.But i found more pictures of the historical Chisinau.Here they are

This building is now the governments intel department


This is now the city hall


This beautifull building was transformed into a McDonalds...


The center plaza,still is today




Instead of this huge building there's the government building of today

This is now a history museum,but it was a boy's high school


"Zemstva" Museum.Present day archeology museum


And surprisingly enough,this prison saved a part of its structure.Today its still a prison
