    This is an older picture, since that, I've corrected the Romanian settlement names.




    This picture is a bit oudated too, because since that, I've added another province: Skopje.

    By the way, does anyone know how to give one religion special attributes?
    I'd like to make Jews somewhat special... like, if a province is 10% jewish, there is 10% more trade income. I'd also like them to cause more unrest then other religions.
    Is that possible?
    It would be also good to make them more resistant to conversion.

    [building_capability] requires factions { [faction_names, cultures or all], } and region_religion [religion_name] [minimum percentage]

    I am not aware that you can increase conversion resistance based on region religion level

    Thanks. That will do. It might be tricky though, because of the next, but it's okay.
    By the way, must I use the requires factions { [I][faction_names, cultures or all] thing?
    Isn't simply making trade_base_income_bonus bonus 1 requires region_religion jewish 1 enough?

    You have to have an instruction which faction it applies to. I wouldn't stake my life on it, but you can easily check if it works without it.

    Anyway, what do you think of the map?
    If you download the mod, you can see that several errors are fixed.

    Oh, and I'd like to know which is the minimal value for unit upkeep. I'd like to reduce the peasant's upkeep to 0.25 or something like that. Or does it have to be at least 1?

    As far as I know it can be zero and it has to be full numbers only.

    The map looks quite decent, next step would be to work on the ground textures - it still has got much of a vanilla flavor.

    Aha. So, if the Peasant's upkeep cost is 90, then it aplies to a unit of 75 peasants, and NOT of one peasant... right?
    Then I think that reducing them to their thirds would be enough.

    Maybe I could replace it with RTW texture
    Personally, I think the vanilla ground textures are decent.

    Correct, the number applies to the whole unit. Units below full strength have a pro rata upkeep.

    Some examples of groundtypes that can be done quite easily.

    Strangely this happens only on a few machines. The fix is relatively simply: you will need the three SD files from the ui folder and all the files from the data\text folder - and copy them into their folders in the main directory.

    Otherwise use the two batch files in the attachment to extract only those files straight into the correct folders. Place the batch files into the tools\unpacker folder and run\double click them.

    The campaign won't start for me.
    It loads, but then it just turns black and says "Medieval 2: Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit."
    The log file looks pretty interesting too.
    I don't see anything wrong within the descr_rebel_factions.txt file...
    What is wrong with the game?

    Together with a small description what you did since it last ran.
