This is 100% correct, absolutely. Now I've got my box which you can't open - tell me what isn't in there. You can't (aside from perhaps myself, yourself, and everything present in the room with us). You can only guess. Not come up with the answer.

Right, but while you have a closed box, you cannot use that as evidence of God, or anything else that you can't see, hear or otherwise perceive.

Correct, I think you're getting the handle of it then. We cannot say he certainly is - or certainly isn't until we open the box.

But that either means you believe in nothing at all or you believe in anything that can be conceived.

I accept it as a possibility. Not a fact. (i.e I don't think ghosts are real, but I don't go around saying that they aren't real - mainly out of courtesy to my friends who have had "experiences" but also because I can not, with certainty, make that statement)

Get ready for the people who do believe in those things to yell and call you closed minded, in 3, 2, 1.........
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are so certain of themselves, but wiser people are full of doubts.

Statistically mostly only women believe in supernatural like ghosts. This is a male dominated forum.

But I thought more males believe the existence of Big Foot?

Anyway, you don't need God to have hope, look at those Communists and Buddhists.

If it's simply math you can post it here. If for some reason you can't, write an email with your report, screen shot it, then post the image here.

Seing as how many Chirstians can't understand why you would behave well and avoid sins and evil behaviour without God to punish you, and how I think today it prevents more harm that it does, I don't think so. Maybe not publicly, but only to some close friends that are already atheists.

The burden of proof is not on non-believers on the subject of the Semitic god's existence.
