Out of curiosity, where does the bunch of UI image files in the patch fit into this?

Thanks for the patch & notes .

Oooh you're starting to fix small and often instead of large and rare?
    That'd be great!
    Tools: MMS 1.3 - PFM 2.4.1 - EditSF 1.0.7

Minor TW Tools: Savegame Autobackup, RandomSeedChanger, Replay Browser, Preference Editor
My mods: Extended Camera - No Handicap on Normal - Add occupation resistance to AI - FotS Defenses Rebalance
If you're artistically inclined, I could do with some icons for my mods and tools....

Hopefully I'll get around to posting vids in my YouTube channel at one time.

    Respecto Patronum

Thanks for this CA. I saw the patch downloading when I came back in the room so fired up FOTS as I have been having bad battle crashes (no problems whatsoever pre FOTS). The battles work now, incredibly, though when I quick saved after winning it CTD'd! Rargh!

One step at a time I suppose...

Hmmm, the blood seems to only show up on the left arm and head.

It appears correctly only for a milli second as the unit is killed, then immediately disappears everywhere except the head and left arm.

    (Unmodded game, all DLC, FOS)

Seconded. I was ready to offer a grudging thanks for the patch, but after testing on all three different eras, with a clean install I'm certain the blood only stays on the face, the loins and the left arm. The right arm and torso are clean as a baby's bottom. The blood decals only appear on the torso for a moment when the individual is struck.

On a positive note, the blood looks a lot cripser now, and they've got splatters on the faces of survivors too, not just the slain.

What I fear now is that CA will work no more on the Blood Pack, considering it 'fixed' even though it isn't.

    You guys work fast!

Yes, it does look like the blood is on specific parts of the body. And it is on everyone involved in the fight. It perhaps needs a little more randomisation on the bodies, but it`s not essential to me. They certainly look bloodied now. To be honest I wouldn`t even need all that blood spurting stuff- The spats will do me .

I would have liked a min, medium, max setting, but it`s obviously not going to happen. And there are more important gameplay issues.

A plea to CA: Please give us NON-STEAM OPTIONS such as with GOG.COM`s Alan Wake and Witcher 2, etc. Even allow a system such that Mount and Blade Uses. Many of us will pay extra for a Steam-free version of RTW2.
The use of STEAM-ONLY by CA is ethically wrong because:
    1. It does not need to be forced. It could be optional as other games have proven.
    2. It discriminates between internet users and non-users or those who simply do not want it.
    3. The `advantages` are only advantages in a very small and superficial manner. They do not counter the disadvantages.
    4. It suits the company way more than the user. We are simply told it`s better for us
Finally,I shall not give CA|SEGA my money for RTW2 while it forces Steam on me. They have given us no good reason why it must be so. Basically they don`t care.

A Steam Option would benefit ALL. Don`t fight us, JOIN us.

Having the Parrot cannon just know when to stop and deploy on attack would be nice.

Checking to see what other fixes this Patch has done... None of them seem really essential for gameplay as least for SP... except for crashes and I had only 1. But we`ll see.

    I didnt came that far.
After the patch again mess up the mod-fixes, that remove that childish laser-tracers from fireweapons, etc. i will let the game rest for some time.

Seriously, is it that difficult to make that comic-style (tracers from fireweapons, child-fingerpainting from the bloodpack on my screen) optional?

Some of this crap is removed by the community since tw-empire, not without a reason maybe...

craigtw, can you confirm if there will be more patches ? I remember in the past there was only limited budget for patches. Are we down to just one more big patch to fix desync with that tool, or will you guys start bringing out more minor balancing patches for multiplayer like blizzard does for starcraft 2 so we can enjoy great and balanced fmultiplayer for the rest of the year.
