    Default Faction specific unit textures

    Just wondering if anyone is considering doing some faction specific ashigaru textures along the lines of that which was in Hedge Knight's Unit Variety mod (before it stopped working with patch 16), where the ashigaru units of each major faction had their clan's mon on the helmets and chest pieces instead of those circles. I just think all the factions look too similar at the moment. I would do it myself but Im quite busy at the moment and I have no idea how the whole .atlas system works.

    Well, I have done this for The Sekigahara Campaign (kinda sorta dead at the moment). As a little note, you don't need the .atlas/.dds sets anymore.

    The gist of doing this is:
    -create a new folder in the unit part folder for the unique textures (for ease of reference, use the clan name)
    -edit said textures and place them in the folder
    -reference the mesh (you don't need to make more than one) and the new folder in the unit_variant
    -do the other things to properly implement them, like telling the game to use the specific unit_variant in the "uniforms" table and make the set of unit cards (essentially re-named vanilla cards, if you're working on something like a yari ashigaru unit).

    thanks for the tip! I hope you dont mind me having a look at your mod files. Dont worry I wont use any of your textures or anything. Just to see how you did it...
