Need help.

First off i have to say this is an absolutely sick mod.

Now unfortunately i have a small problem.....
I was besieging a small village the other day as the wessex agianst some rebel forces on the eastern coast. I sent in my first wave to take out the resistance at the front entrance and they were just rabble so i sent in some eldorman to deal with them. The fight lasted forever and eventually my eldorman went down to 10 oldiers and broke into full retreat i sent in all my forces at once to take the setlement from every direction. i was stopped at the entrance everywhere and the fight lasted so long i went into the other room to watch t.v. when the show was over i came back in here thinking i must be about to win. BUT THE FIGHT AT THE ENTRANCE WAS STILL RAGING WITH ONLY A FEW HUNDRED LOSSES FROM EACH SIDE!!
i made my troops fall back to fight another day then got off cuz when i started the fight it was around 11"pm east american time but when i quit to go to bed it was 3 in the morning. This needs to be fixed please. its a great mod but the fights just drag on for way to long guys.
Id change the defence of the units myself but im afraid ill mess up the game. Any help would be very appreciated.

There is a submod where someone is endeavouring to do what you want. Also if you don't flank the enemy the fight will last longer. I usually knock two holes either side of the gate in a siege so i can flank the enemy. The gate is the worst place to enter especially when contested, it's narrower and the pathing isn't as good.
