Default "Medieval 2 has encountered an unspecified error" a minute into a battle.

Running SS 6.4. Early campaign, real recruitment, no permanent arrows, the light version of grim reality.

I'm on turn 75, year 1174, early era and haven't had any CTD's so far, however, the english just laid siege to Paris and I attacked them (playing as the french) with another army. It is a winter battle (haven't had any problems with them before).

My army consists mostly of light men at arms, spearmen and archers, I also have a sergeant swordsmen mercenary unit, feudal knights, mailed knights and some knights templar (plus a general). As far as I can tell the english army consists mostly of light men at arms, spearmen, a couple of ballistas and some feudal knights.

About a minute into the battle the game crashes with the "Medieval 2 has encountered an unspecified error"-message.

I am not using any submods as far as I know, here's my system.log.txt:

Just checking if anyone has had the same problem and has a solution for it, otherwise I guess I'll have to try autoresolving or waiting a turn or such (though risking Paris) and see if the problem goes away.

I've attached the save-file, if you want to reproduce the error, attack the english army besieging paris with the nearby french army (select all units in that army except for the second general, since he has lesser movement points and will prevent the army from attacking)

EDIT: Seems it might have been a problem with the particular battle, sallying out with the other army as reinforcements didn't cause a crash, so it wasn't because of any unit it seems.

    Have you installed G5 BAI?

If you have, please try using CTD battel fix, within the setup installer

I'm using Savage AI, like I've mentioned, I was able to bypass the problem, might have just been a one-time thing considering how many battles I've fought without problems, we'll see!

Savage is the campaign AI, G5 Really Bad AI is the Battle AI, it makes the AI factions alot smarter in how they attack and defend, check out this link really decreases Battle CTD's

honestly that sounds like a corrupt map file to me, unless its unit specific. Like a jerusalem unit missing a texture (i'd guess hospitaller or templar knight or some such). Post your log here (found in program files, stainless steel, log) after the crash (with trace enabled) and i'll look for you.

Yes. I'm playing as the Crusader States, and thus far all of my CTDs have been against Fatamid armies that have ballistas, and they've all been in the area of Jerusalem.
