Best Infantry

British Line Infantry carry the 'ol "Thin red line" bit. Namely, they hold the line regardless of the circumstances. Prussian infantry fire like friggin' machine guns, but only have "good" melee capabilities.
Swedish line infantry is also very good, although they're a bit more well-rounded.

Ever used Prussian Line in NTW? Hot damn do those guys fire fast.

In the original unmodified game the british and prussians doubtless have superior infantry stats.
However most of the time I prefer to play sweden, denmark and the united provinces because I like these factions best.

One word embodies the Prussian army: Discipline!
Prussian Line Infantry is quick to reload, they drive home the charge, they are stubborn in defense and are possessed of a high esprit de corps. They are consistantly well drilled and lead by exceptional officers. Prussian soldiers are the best of the best and they know it!

At Kunersdorf in 1759 the Prussians were soundly beaten by a mainly Russian army .

And if you think about it, war crimes aside, the German Wehrmacht (essentially under command of Prussian Junkers) invaded Russia and very nearly overcame the Russian hordes before the onset of the Russian winter.

I don´t want to sound overly didactic but at the battle of Kunersdorf about 50000 prussians
faced an russo-austrian army of roughly equal size. Just take a look here:

By the way my Grandfathers and Granduncles fought against the red army in the second world war
and speak for most part very respectful of russian soldiers.

The veterans say that they are more respected by British veterans (who the meet with annually) than their fellow Germans.

Todays germany is somehow morbidly pacifistic. This is certainly a consequence of the nazi rogue regime and second world war. In large the whole german nation has been traumatized. There is no doubt that without the war effort of the western allies the present germany would not be a real democracy. Freedom was given to germany by the life blood of allied soldiers. Many germans unfortunately are very ignorant of these facts and even ungrateful. I believe that most germans have still to learn that freedom and democracy sometimes need active use of shield and sword to be earned or defended! Imagine Prussians figthing for the oppressed and preventing genocide.

Lol ! Everybody is talking about their grandfathers. Well my ancestors conquered whole Russia (Genghis Khan) & my another ancestor Tamerlane soundly defeated an army in Russian winter. :p

The only ancestor I know of that was in the military was 10 generations back, he was a Captain in the British army when he moved to Long Island New York in the 1600's.
