There's a super spectre pack? When I played last night there were only regular spectre packs with a bit of text saying they were 'a great way to unlock new weapons and characters!'.

so the new characters aren't in yet ? shame.

My asari adept is awesome though, I find reapers really easy to kill with her, especially when the rest of the team knows what they are doing and assist me detonating my biotics. We did a glorious silver run yesterday where we took out 5 brutes and 3 banshees within 1:30 mins (extraction wave). No missile launchers.
I do find shields (and more particularly Atlases) very annoying, since biotic explosions barely scratch them and it takes me forever to take them out. Geth are semi hard, cause they have weak shields and biotic explosions kill tons at once.

I played as a Batarian soldier for a while and came into a conclusion:

We should get one as a squadmate for Shepard. These guys are hardcore.

Batarian Soldier rivals the Krogans for the best close quarters warrior in the game.

I think his heavy melee is actually more powerful than a krogan heavy melee (non-rage), but it takes forever to wind up. Plus blade armor is death for any enemy meleeing you, and ballistic blade is a fantastic close range power.

May be Batarian soldier is fun, I tried only Sentinel (and I keep getting him and Geth Engineer which I can't play without killing my eyes), and he sucks terribly. Net is useless, takes forever to load and is eaasily dodged; Shockwave is, as always, good only in cutscenes, and the Balde Armour...I'm not the fan of close-quarter Sentinel, so the class is really useless to me

I might be able to see one of those new characters afterall - apparently the next community event will grant you a reserves pack if you have the new multiplayer dlc installed, which will guarantee an unlock of one of the new characters.

I haven't unlocked the Batarian soldier yet, but i unlocked the Batarian harpoon gun, which is pretty awesome as well.

any tips for a vanguard? human or asari, I find that I suck at it on silver, tried on bronze and I suck at it too.

vanguards are evil. Do not use them. that said, I'm gonna do some bronze with my krogan vanguard

They aren't evil, they're just annoying. If they don't steal all your kills and points and run the game by themselves, they completely ruin it with their inability. And if they fail to do that and end up somewhere in the middle, they at least mess up your scoped aiming and possible biotic/tech combos.

I'm actually thinking about respecing my Krogan Vanguard for a typical Krogan soldier with some biotics, meaning getting rid of Charge alltogether. He looks much cooler than other Krogan but his charge is too slow for my taste

I did that with my krogan vanguard this morning, playing like

and still being 1st cause I kept stealing kills by mistake
