I have the Graal Spike Thrower, the fire rate is so slow that it's impractical,

The Graal can actually shoot very fast, I think even faster than Eviscerator. It can be charged for up to double damage but you can also shoot it normally like other shotguns. Also if you charge the Graal and fire, with practice you can fire another uncharged shot immediatly afterwards.

Graal is also very accurate and does lots of damage, especially when charged. You can kill targets even at long range. Though the flechettes it shoots travel much slower than the rounds in other shotguns, so it can be bit tricky to hit those moving targets. I think it's one of the best shotguns in the game.

When it comes to shotguns I either use the Piranha or the Reegar. Never got the hang of the Graal

I've got the Reegar as well. My impression of it, after seeing too many people swipe kills from others, it seems like a way to get cheap points and insane kill counts. That may just be me, but I've never used it.

It's wonderful against shields and barriers but less effective against armor.

Which means it has a good synergy with the Vorcha flamer, which is perfect against armour/health, but not very useful against shields/barriers.

As far as I've gotten to know the weapon, there seems to be a very precise timing you need to keep, but if you manage that, you can empty the entire clip in rapid-fire manner. For a "Bladerunner" Batarian , that usually makes Ballistic Blades + Graal magazine + Ballistic Blades. If you time the second BB right and have fast-enough cooldown, you can use them for reload-cancelling, too, I think, so you can chain up the next set of Graal shots and BBs.

One major problem of this is that you rapidly use up all of your Graal ammo, of course, but you can do a staggering amount of damage.

Kishock is still a fun gun for Bronze, but that's about it. Can't believe what they're doing to all the unique and cool guns just to drown people in more same-ol' stuff.

Operation Jackhammer was a pretty easy weekend challenge, although I am slightly annoyed that the "Set Title" option once unlocked doesn't actually give you a character background like it's supposed to.

I don't think the weekend challenges give you banner. The Halloween challenge was an exception.

Kishock is a great gun. I play with it regularly on gold against Cerberus, stalking those pesky phantoms and then harpooning them in the face. It definitely isn't the most easiest gun to handle, but the practice pays off. Any fool without armor getting caught in the way of that hyper-velocity harpoon, dies. And it produces some hilarious ragdoll effects.
