Does anyone still play the MP regularly after there done with the single player? After I beat the game I really didn't see a point in playing it anymore

Destroyer is a poor man's BattleMech. Shoulder-mounted missile launcher, multi-frag -launcher and having no cooldown problems means you should carry the most heavies weapons. Devastator mode boost weapon damage, magazine size, rate-of-fire and shields. I use Striker and Piranha and they perform brilliantly with this mode.

The missile launcher is a waste of time for me at least, it can barely kill a husk on silver. It staggers enemies and fires automatically but in turn it cuts your shields in half. Combining that with the almost non-existent agility and you have a "mech-like protected" tank who bites the dust too often. The base health is only 500, for a cutting-edge battlesuit it's less than impressive.

I just maxed out everything except that missile/pea launcher and it's all good. Basic melee is clumsy as all hell though, it hard to lock on anything let alone hitting them.

Just my initial feelings.

yeah, I maxed launcher initially but will respec I think, three points in it seems to be enough, its only job is to stagger, trhe damage is pitiful, sadly. At least, it looks cool

Nasty, I was trying to get into a silver game and spawned in Firebase Giant Platinum. The team combined for a total of 3 kills before getting whipped out. Everything was basically a one hit kill by the enemy.

Ouch, I hate Giant. The room with the cannons in it is a deathtrap where enemies can attack from both sides of your cover.

Then limit your selection to Silver next time?

Platinum does sound ridiculous this way, at any rate. Did you actually get any credits for those few kills?

I imagine he did have it set for silver. The game was doing the same thing to me the other day. It was putting me into platinum games even though I had selected to search for silver. Needless to say there were a lot of low level players getting slaughtered.

I thought I was pretty clear that was what I was doing. I was pretty sure people would be able to figure out that meant I had the setting set to silver match only, clearly not.

Played two Platinum games today. As a Vorcha soldier and a Krogan vanguard, in both games we made it to the objective on the 6th wave. Had to escort a drone in one of those, and through sheer determination/desperation we actually managed to get it done. Too bad half of the squad had died along the way...

Makes good money though, almost as much as a successful Gold match.

Yeah, wave 6 grants you gold credits and a finished one nets you 130k. Apparently there's already a way to farm Firebase Glacier platinum (in that little room).

I really like the Demolisher. I slapped a krysae and a reegar on her (no power cooldowns to worry about!) and she's doing all right.

I'm wondering about the linked video, though - isn't he 1-shot-killing "heavy" enemies like Banshees and Atlas? I thought that was impossible on Gold, already, so how can this work on Platinum?

Anyway, I got lucky with the first Spectre pack I got after the update and unlocked the N7 Paladin. I have to say it's kind of fun to play, at least up to Silver difficulty where you can still rely on your omni shield. You don't have a lot of raw power, but you do pack some nice abilities - snap freeze and energy drain, plus your unique omni shield as heavy melee attack and deployable cover. It works really nice as a hit-and-run melee fighter and as team support.

Had a really useful demolisher with me today on Gold. He deployed the pylon thing that provides constant ammo/grenades and as a destroyer I was destroying everything, ended up top of the leaderboard. Had a Salarian decoy in front of us as well, never done gold so easily before.
