    There are Three Tables:

    gun_types
    The 2nd column, Type, refers to a battle_entity in battle_entity table.
    The last column refers to an engine animation in animation_tables.txt.

    units_tables
    The 4th column, Class, refers to unit_class in unit_class table.

    units_stats_land
    Artillery 1 column. This refers to Gun ID in 1st column of gun_types table.

    There are columns that determines cavalry battle entity, horse1, horse 3, carriage battle entity, ammo train battle entity, ammo caisson destructed, and ammo caisson destruction.

    Nice to see our artillery in shogun 2
    Beside Napoleon and Howitzers, we also have a different Parrot gun and the 3inch ordance rifle-gun. Maybe you can build them in too?

    Sure! since 20lb Parrott Gun already in the game, i'll use 3 Inch Rifles as Low-trajectory, direct fire gun. Should be useful as counter-artillery for its accuracy.

    - The 6 lbr cannons are a ing : Dont kill anything (3 kills in 20 shots)

    I use the TDM version. The 100pdr cannon is compatible with darthmod?

    I also notice that the small icons do not work on recruitment queue. Duly Noted.

    Would add a small blast to roundshots in v.3

    Its compatible...just the maximum deviance not as big as darthmod standards...

    by the way... bo hiya zutsu means fire rocket tube...

    PLANNED GARRISON ARTILLERY BATTERY FOR V.3

    TRADITIONAL
    OZUTSU WALLGUNNERS GARRISON
    Remember The powerful Heavygunners of Sengoku Campaign? The Ozutsu Wallguns Shall serve once more as faithfully for their masters descendants in the olden days...
    Role: Heavy Traditional Musketry.
    Garrison At:
    ?Traditional Dojo Line?(Give more value to Dojo)
    ?Castle Line?(Easier, simpler, more chance to encounter)
    ?Tower Upgrade Line?(Give more reason to build them, making them more valuable.)
    Reason For:
    Yes - Give Traditionalists more firepower at the walls, making certain buildings more valuable for their garrison spawn.
    No - Not Exactly an Artillery Unit. Not Comparable to Modern Long-Range Guns, more comparable to Sharpshooters Range.

    FORT WOODEN CANNON BATTERY
    Wooden Cannons is more of an emergency unit rather than a deliberately trained unit for campaigns, making it sensible for Garrisons.
    Role: Traditional Fort Artillery Battery.
    A definite Yes - Lower Tier Castles need artillery.

    WOODEN ROCKET LAUNCHER BATTERY
    Its a far better idea to use wooden tubes as rocket launcher rather than a cannon. Rocket Tubes need far less strength and would last longer than wooden cannons.
    Role: Indirect Fire Traditional Artillery Support
    Yes - Much more sensible than wooden cannons
    No - Not Recorded ever used in Japan. Takes up Wooden Cannon and 4 Inch Mortar Battery Place and Role

    NIKANME HO BATTERY
    As Westerners more and more frequent forcing their way into Japan; many Lords recommisionned all their cannons they got; some dates back all the way to the days of their more open-minded ancestors in Sengoku era. These particular Old Fashioned Cannons were certainly outmatched by newer pieces, but far better than the infernal wooden cannon alternative. Heihachiro Togo himselves started his career as a Cannoneer in the Satsuma Navy, manning round shot-firing old cannons of Kagoshima Coastal Battery.
    Role: Traditional Artillery Cannons.
    Gun Model Choice:
    Shogun 2 Breechloader Culverin atop Rice Bales?(existence of suitable animation)
    ETW 12-18lb Naval Cannon in Truck Carriage?(More advanced looking, but finding suitable animation may be hard)
    Firing Trajectory: Medium
    Garrison At:
    ?Artillery Range/School?
    ?Matchlock Tower Upgrade?
    Yes - Better Cannon for Traditionalist
    No - Lower trajectory than wooden cannons means inability to hit enemy close to the castle walls, rendering it useless for the rest of the siege. Take up Wooden Cannons role and place.

    MODERN

    4-INCH MORTAR BATTERY - ALREADY IN v.2

    12PDR LONG GUN HOWITZER BATTERY
    Even that mortar`is the best artillery to be fired from inside the castle compound, they couldnt be relied upon to deal with besieging artillery. The Long Gun Howitzers shall fill that niche.
    Role: Counterbattery Fort Artillery.
    Firing Trajectory: Medium (a must, low trajectory would hit the fortresses own walls)
    Gun Models Choice:
    NTW 12pdr Gun in Double Plank Carriage?
    NTW 18pdr Battery of The Convention?
    ACW 12pdr Napoleon?
    Garrison in:
    Artillery Academy-Arsenal?
    Citadel-Starfort?
    Cannon Tower Upgrade?
    Yes - Provide Counterbattery fire for the besieged
    No - Useless for enemies too close to the walls(a Mortar Specialty)

    100pdr Heavy Artillery Battery.
    Only Spawnable if you use the 100pdr mod. If you could field Big Guns, why wouldnt the enemy? If Besiegers could drop Naval Gunfire, So does you!
    Garrison in:
    Star Fort.
    maybe more?
    Yes

    I want to hear your opinion on this...

    No Need to mention if you could always say NO in the ground of too diverse roster, redundant units, wouldnt have any uses, takes over another units niche/place/role...but never of "too powerful artillery for the AI"...

    I say yes for all, I like all the ideas And also you can make the basic pack with historical units and an addon with the others

    YES! because:



    Antique Japanese (samurai) bo hiya or bohiya (fire arrow) and hiya taihou (fire arrow cannon), Kumamoto Castle, Japan.
    the barrel is not made out of wood. but the similarities to the wood-cannon model of fots can be seen.
    so much to not recorded use in japan.
    such a weapon would actualy be a great addition to the sengoku campain to.

    I actually proposed to anton back then to have the mobile cannons shooting out rockets as ANOTHER unit, since there is already a mod out there that has the Euro cannons shooting rockets, I guess having mobiles ones do it is easy..

    LOL! Why is the ashigaru setting fire to the head of the rocked have this thing used to stuff a cannonball into the cannons barrel, since the rocket is so big it sticks out of the cannon.
    at least thats what i first thought, then i realised that in reality they could have switched to cannonball whenever they wanted to.
    playing to much total war makes u think of real war in videogame dimentions
