@anycolourfloyd....the son actually died..that's the grandson that became the heir...

@Spike... its actually a glitch in the game...not exactly sure how it works but... but if you save your game and on the following turn your general dies, gets assasinated, you can reload game...chances are the same outcome won't transpire...i actually let him die at age 116 i believe...

once a general/familly member survives past 85 they are nolonger in the list which is submitted to the "check for death from aging" function.

its actually quite simpler than hoping your general makes it to 85....save the game before end of turn....if a general is assassinated or dies during the turn....reload, and end turn again....usually a different outcome ensues...i wanted to ensure one bloodline....but if there's a way to create male offspring....i do not know it...

That's a cool strategy chazap. In my years of playing I've never noticed that and usually just let the cards fall where they may. Can it go on perpetually? Like can you have a 200 year old general?
