Venetian Archers & ME Heavy Archers (ss6.4)

I know the units file and EDB in SS6.4 is an older version of RRRC so this question may be out of date.

Venetian archers appear to be statistically equal to ME heavy archers, but in the late campaign Venice gets its archers immediately (heavy mail armour) and Moors have to wait about 80 turns (new era event), (12 x 80 in BGRV normal event speed version).

Is this correct or something that has since been corrected? If so then what should it be?

The ME Heavy Archers become available for all Muslim factions in 1300, not just for the Moors, so it's not a mistake. Just because some units are similar in equipment doesn't mean they will be available at the same time for different factions.
