''Come in you two and please explain, why are you two so late? Also there are some Dragon species left unmentioned. Can anyone name any other species?''

"Yes, sir. Isn't there also Chinese Fireball, Swedish Short-Snout, Portuguese Long-Snout, Catalonian Fireball and Antipodean Opaleye?"

Drake chuckled in his mind being lucky he had read about Dragons in library.

Thomas smiled.
''Very good. Dragons are so dangerous creatures, but in their first months they need a lot of help. It takes them a while to grow up. Usually dragons start breathing fire in the age of six months and the ability to fly in the age of 12 months. Dragons are also very valuable, as practically every part of a Dragon is worth a lot of Galleons. What does the class think, have the muggles seen real dragons?''

Weatherby instantly was reminded of dozens of old stories his father used to tell him - Artemis Wiggins often worked closely with members of the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Department in his Ministry days, and by and by came to possess a certain fondness for their ways. Evangelina sat and wrote notes. She was rather tired, having spend all night practising spells.

Water spells, obviously. They can't exactly breathe fire on you if you're shooting a stream of water down their throats.

Thomas smiled
''Conjunctivitis curse, very good. That would work very well indeed. Petrificus Totalus, maybe it would work as well, but that would need a large group of wizards. Axelo Curse, Dragons armour would be immune to that. Water spells, that would really annoy a Dragon. They couldn't breathe fire yes, but they could still attack you. Fiendfyre would work against them. Fire helps. Stupefy also works, but that needs a lot of people simoultaneously casting it. Are there any Questions?''

Sir, are dragons at all...well. Can you train them?

[Sonke]

Thomas looked at Atticus
''Well, the Dragons have been given the highest rating by the ministry. Whih means, that you can't domesticate them, but Dragonologists do try to train them. With some dragons it might be effective, with others not so effective. Any more questions?''

[Narf]

"Are we going to see them here at Hogwarts? I heard one speak about them being here some years back"

[Sonke]

''Some time ago there were Dementors guarding the School from Sirius Black. When the Dementors went away, then the Minister of Magic of that time suggested that Hogwarts should be guarded by Dragons. There were Dragons here in 1994 during the Triwizard Cup. I don't believe, that they'll bring any Dragons near the school, as it would be too dangerous. Any more Questions?''
