Back story: Godfrey joined the ministry and achieved full Auror status shortly before the overthrow of the ministry. Godfrey was a very loyal man and had met Harry Potter and others that supported him and been friends with a few during his last years at Hogwarts so he decided that he was going to work towards overthrowing Voldemort no matter what happened so he went with members of the Order of the Phoenix and battled openly with death eaters many times in skirmishes. He continued like this on the run until he heard some news, there was to be a final battle at the school Hogwarts, as someone who had been loyal from the start he rushed there right away, he fought from the start until the end of the battle, and chased after death eaters for a few days later. It was during one of these skirmishes that he was hit with a wayward curse which burned the left side of his face and made him disfigured, it was during his time of recovery when the temporary Minister for Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt came to him personally and honored him for his actions throughout the resistance, and offered him a position at the Ministry for Magic as one of the top Aurors, for Godfrey it was not a decision as much as an instinct to accept immediatly.

Godfrey is a man who will take nothing off of nobody because of the time he spent underground resisting the death eaters, earn his respect and you may never need to worry but until then he will watch you closer than a hawk whenever you are in his presence.
