Yeah, we are taking them slowly this term...there should be 9 events; three for each of the three mods for now. It got confusing and rather overwhelming last term.

Spells still consider the miss chances because of the terrain right? So even if you cast it perfectly it could still miss.

Maybe there should be more rules on dueling. For example your allowed a D/N spell and a N/A spell in a single "turn".

Can we have some organization and context for this event please before moderators start doing the battle?

Due to the recent surge in Death-eater activity and the more pressing importance put on the targetting and dealing with this threat by the new Minister for Magic; there were new initiatives put in place to train all Ministry staff to an acceptable standard in which they can contribute to the cause and defend the Ministry if it comes down to it in times of dire need. Oliver himself was present in the main assembly point; scratching his nose rather softly as he awaited more members of the ministry to turn up; it was compulsory for all.

Context, and the oragization is within one of the other posts, with Major, Remus, an NPC controlled by Remus, and Phalanx versus, Me, Molon, Claguis, Lucius. All spells are directed after a post made by Remus, near the bottom of the first page.

Will first years be able to join (or try out) quidditch teams?


Another thing, how will quiddtich games (if there's ever gonna be a Hogwarts' quidditch cup) will be RP?

Probably to the first, I don't know to the second. Maybe using dice rolls to determine the score/who gets the snitch or something..

In canon, first-years aren't permitted to play Quidditch (there was a big stink when they permitted Harry to play for Gryffindor). For our purposes, I'm not sure how important that is though, given that we don't have enough older players to fill out the squads.

I was going to offer to run the Quidditch Cup since I've already done a couple Quidditch RPs, if there's interest in that. Of course, since I have an interest in Gryffindor, I can't run games involving my House - it might be better then to get a purely unbiased mod for all matches.

About the quidditch cup, thats a wonderful idea and I think you will do a great job rp it



EDIT: c'mon! I know you're a Gryffindor (or your character, properly talking) but I wouldn't think you'd really have an "interest" - it's a game (the whole rp) after all, isn' it?

OOC: SS; If you had taken a moment to read the whole thread you would of seen that the battle is purely a mock one for the purpose of training the ministry in their combat abilities, all highly dangerous and harmful spells are prohibited, it's set in a cleared out courtyard of the Ministry, the two teams are as bonez said and both are on opposite sides. ;]

Miss Knowles is a NPC so I leave her to whichever mod does this. ]
