Messy = Having a wizard start a war and providing excuses for its starting instead of blaming those that are to blame. I think that Rowling feels sorry even for putting Grindenwald's defeat in 1945 in the first place. But what's done is done.

My intention is never to hurt sentiments. If you felt offended, then I apologise right away. But as SB said it, I am sure you read in the book that Rita Skeeter would do for media sensationalism.

My sentiments (I can't speak for others) were not hurt nor was I offended, so no need for that kind of "politically correct" apologies. Lets just stick to our role play, there are lots of places to visit : that grove in Kent was nice. Put some war in Boadicea's time for that grove if you wish

By the way, regarding spells, how much does your willpower/skills in that spell category count against the spell difficulty? Ex. If you had 6 points in Charms and then tried to cast a level-3 Charm, would you then face 50-50 odds of getting it right (or 50-25-25 odds of getting it right/just not doing anything/the spell backfiring) and so on, or is it something else entirely? And if you were to become hyper-proficient in an area (like, 80 points or so proficient) would that allow you to get away with casting the lower-difficulty spells of that category with no risk of failure at all?

Also, yeah, lol@ my event. I figured only bad things could happen if I went ahead with it, but I also figured it's in-character for Cecil to charge ahead with it anyway
