more over, I think a "hat election event" could be implemented to put the students in the houses, based in what it is said about them in their biographies and such.

There is the Sorting. The mod who does it takes into account your character's biography and stuff before making a choice, unless the player informs them of a specific house.

I started RPing as a ravenclaw (since I posted in Ravenclaw's common room) but in the next post where I roleplay really don't give hints about my house, so my question is: should I stay as a Ravenclaw, or it would be better be sorted?

I would really like my character to be sorted!

I would prefer if you waited and became a first year in 1999 (it is currently 1998). So I recommend holding off RP on your main character until then. In the meantime I can give you some RP jobs elsewhere and you could help with events and the like, if you want to do that.
