Hello all,
After reading over many of the goodbyes to Ponti and a brief chat with Lucius, the two of us mutually agreed that while Ponti will be missed in his absence (and his return eagerly awaited), the legacy of his work in this forum will be felt every day that we choose to participate in and play games with each other. Games came and went, and GSTK endured - but his work in organization, encouragement, and writing, both as Hex and as simple player, breathed fresh life into this area of TWC, and I think we can all agree on that.
As such, I think it would be fitting if we dedicated something to his name. Perhaps we could rename the Consulate after him?
Thoughts, suggestions, opinions? I hope nobody thinks this idea will diminish any other player's contributions to the RPG community, as everyone brings something unique and special to the table - I only feel that the logistical and technical work that Ponti carried about behind the scenes to rebuild and reorganize forum structures and whatnot, in addition to his contributions as a player, deserves special recognition. I'm not really sure the proper channels to even pursue this if you all find it agreeable - perhaps the Citizens amongst us could forward a proposal to the Curia on the community's behalf?
