Even though this won't affect me I agree with robinzx and either everyone use their real names, or if even one person isn't comfortable with the idea then use your forum names.

I've read through my section and it looks fine, although I must admit that every time I read it I become more tempted to rewrite the whole thing.

PS. I'm quite comfortable with my real name being used, provided everyone agrees of course.

Okay a few more missing spaces here and there in mine. If you just search for the joined-up words in quotes you should find them quite handily. No other changes.

    p16 - "weak,and"

    p17 - "land.Harunobu"

    p18 - "offendingashigaru", "sides.Bodies", "inpursuit", "numbers.A", "spears.As",

    p19 - "time.As"

    p20 - "it.A", "slowlylearned", "lifehad"

This is a great idea! I wouldn't mind doing something like this with my own AAR. I have to do some (alot) of editing though.

SBH - I've had another read and I think it would really help if you could add back the asterisks in my story. Some of the transitions don't really make sense without them - is it possible to just have them left aligned with spaces in between or something?

OK - I will put a space in where those markers were! I will substitute ' . . . ' at the left margin.

OK - I want to publish this on Sunday if everyone is OK with that? I still haven't heard back from some of you re editing so if I don't by then, I will publish anyway. Watch this space around Sunday for updates and the final launch. Remember, we are launching at Smashwords who will format instantly but it will then take a few days/weeks for them to format it for the 'premium' market.

Now here is a key question: do I launch it on my own author site there or do I set up a special site under a false name - AARtist or something? Again, group decision here, I think! My instinct is to set up a special site as one day I may 'retire' from editing and someone else then can take over with fulll access to the site password and so on. That keeps my site discreet and seperate. The downside is that the anthology is launched in a vacuum without the wider validity my own author's page may (if any!) give.

Go for the second option, it seems like the better choice. If you make the account, let me know and me and you can 'follow' it. Hopefully this may transfer some of your awareness.

    Good idea - thanks!

Could everyone also PM me their name as they would like it appear in the Anthology (those of you who haven't already done so!)? Thanks.

    I've just noticed another mistake:
We read a writer’s effort to write and that is a pleasure all its own
It's missing a full-stop at the end... sorry for being pedantic. (has this already been spotted?)

    TA-DAAA!!!!

OK - hyperbole aside - we have now launched and published the first edition of 'A Tiger's Leap'

    https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/164059

Now here is the hard part: Smashwords have approved it for release on their site so it is now available for free download there. It will take them a number of weeks to manually vet it for Premium release (and believe me, it takes ages) so we have the opportunity now to market this.

Can all of you please promote this via whatever social media sites you use and also recommmend it to anyone else also? What we need now are readers downloading it and reviewing it on the Smashwords site. You can look at my author's site to see some five star reviews for The Nowhere Legion, for example (including one from another author who never read the work here at TWC but read it as a stand alone novella).

We need to get people downloading it AND reviewing it and this is where you all come in. Promote it like mad and encourage those who download to to write an honest review.

I will post download and page view stats here on a daily basis as best I can so that you can all track its progress.

Phew! All done - can you all download a copy for your own use and also proof-read it again. Any other typos, etc, I can edit again and upload an updated version so that it is revised.

Also, has anyone a kindle? If they do, can they download on that platform and check the formatting? Kindle and a few of the other platforms can play havoc if there are hidden formatting elements (hidden text boxes being a particular nightmare!).

Thanks - and thanks also for all your patience in waiting for this momentous event!

I wonder, can we promote it better here to the wider TWC community? Is anyone here able to contact the 'higher ups' about this? I really am not sure who to PM about this . . .

    It's finally here!!!!

I've downloaded it, and I have a Kindle so I can check it out and let you know. And I've added the author to my favourites.

I'll get a sticky up in the AAR forums for you as well.
