No, I am owed an apology and you are despicable for defending such naked bigotry. For shame.
This is getting a little out of hand, almost to the level of petty. But, I will say again (without mentioning the fact that you have misunderstood the "insult") nobody insulted you because they disagreed with you.

FIE! My anger was not at your race, but at your mis-use of it, I said
    to hell with your England
, not with England, not with you, but with YOUR ENGLAND, that is to say your perception of it being the only crown her majesty has, when in fact, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales are part of the same crown.

However, if you still take offence at it, I will withdraw the statement, although I would comment that the fact I need to for this discussion to progress, is, beyond credulous.

(Also for the record, I am male, however my profiles is, "In Character" so to speak.)

A monarch who forfeits his sovereignty to the masses is no longer a monarch.

I'd say Monarchy, because Republic nowadays is very corrupted and only shadow of true self. In Republic politicians are bribed and , corrupted as hell. In Monarchy there is only one true leader, who most likely is not corrupted by politics.

Except it doesn't have the autocratic iron fist that made them able to make necessary changes when needed, without weeks or months of politicians squabbling like children. A monarch may be incompetent, but education ensures that that's improbable. A good education in history and political science should be enough to make sure that an autocrat is competent.

Grace is worthless in politics and leadership. All that matters is getting the job done at the lowest (monetary and ethical) cost.

Oh contraire, politics is muddier than ever. Have you ever seen politicans argue? To say the least, they don't achieve a whole lot. It was a lot more efficient when one person could sort out a situation in minutes.

The monarchy does not have any part in politics, but if you are asking if I would want a medevil modle then no, a Georgian or Victorian model, however, would seem to be a fair choice.

From what I've seen, as an outsider of Europe, the Royal family does give back to the people. Most notably princess Diana. Most importantly, I think it is imperative to keep history and tradition alive in an ever changing world. I think it is a very cool insight to times passed. on the issue of a family above the rest, can't the same be said with natural aristocracy that capitalist republics have? We have extremely powerful families like the Kennedy's and Countless wealthy families. They and their decedents will essentially be royalty because of there family and bloodline. I think the royal family is perfectly fine as long as they don't exert much political power.

It all depends on what the people want. If the people want their political system to be an anachronism from a day long gone by and have no problem with their being a class of people who are superior simply because of the vagina they popped out of, then that is their right.

The ideal society is the meritocracy. When choosing between monarchy and republic you have a choice between magical merit by virtue of falling from a magic vagina or magical ability bestowed by a magical majority.

Neither are a true meritocracy, but which one is closer?

Well, in my opinion, the ideal form of government would be to appoint me as God-Emperor of Mankind and build me a big palace on top of Nebraska.

Oh well those of us who live in so-called Republics have only to wait. Republics seem to invariably devolve into Oligarchies, then Aristocracies and then one Dude gets the upper hand and he is King for Life.

Eventually his descendents will become lazy or insane or both and we can start the road back to a Republic.

    Republic in a heart beat.

The monarchy is a total joke. A bunch of untalented, average intelligence, average looking, pampered, preening layabout nobodies - they deserve none of it!

What most people want is stability and security, and if a traditional institution is the basis for at least the political playing field being so, it's unlikely to change.

In the future, there may be no magical vaginas, but gene manipulation may very well produce that magical being.

At least a president does something. And at least can be voted out if he is not wanted. And also his sons and daughters aren't also guaranteed the position he once had for no rational reason apart from a ridiculous backwards middle age tradition of heredity.

You can also dethrone the kings.
