Default (Spoilers)The Best Scenes in ME3

These are my two personal favorites. They were so awesome that I had to watch them again on Youtube. I haven't finished the game yet, but I've heard some pretty bad things about the ending. I hope it doesn't ruin these. What are your favorite cutscenes in ME3?

Honestly, I think they're among the most epic scenes in videogame history. The music, setup, and little amounts of dialogue were just so perfect. I honestly cried while watching the first one when I was playing.

    "My turn."

This. I wanted to see the "living tank" Elcor messing up Reapers while trudging along with an entire arsenal strapped to their back. I wanted to see that single Volus (!) dreadnought that I found on the galaxy map, equipped with a full array (!) of Thanix Cannons unleash hell. I wanted to see the Batarian Remnants join the battle alongside their former sworn enemies, the Humans. And I wanted to see more of the Geth fleet than just a "Geth fleet reporting" comment from Joker.
But even so, the final fleet battle was, indeed, awesome.
As was the scene with Shepard and Garrus shooting bottles. Then again, any scene with Garrus is more or less bound to be awesome in some way.

Edit: Not exactly a "scene", but discovering the M-99 Sabre assault rifle did give me a huge grin when using it in battle for the first time...

I would literally pay good money for dlc that adds more cutscenes to the final battle both in space and on land

I enjoyed all the comments referencing Garrus and his calibrations.

Anything with Legion, particularly his "ascension".

Any scenes with Mordin as well, of course. Especially his last scene with him quietly humming Gilbert and Sullivan's "Pirates of Penzance"...
I also thought that Thane's scenes were pretty good, especially the last one. It hit the nail on the head in terms of how so many people are disappointed with Kai Leng's performance throughout the game.

Indeed, couldn't help but point out (at the time, before that was even said) that it appeared Kai Leng was so bad at being an assassin that an old, dying and exhausted (he had just run all the way there) Drell almost had him.

I really love some of the banter which Javik says throughout the game, these are some of his best lines: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7O0AQfRYE0
His comments when taking him along on Thessia at the temple are great.

Edit: that line which he has with Tali in this vid is even funnier when your wearing the Collector Armour, as that`s how I experienced it first, I thought he was talking about me.

Yes, the entire Javik - Liara dialogue line is superb.

Grunt being a boss against the rachni, misleading me into thinking he was dead then returning. I was like ' yeah'.

Heh, I thought exactly the same thing. Grunt just is a pure badass.
But he still gets beaten easily by Wrex, of course.

Most of them were good. Most of the scenes I enjoyed thoroughly.
Obviously the ending wasn't good, but also I am a bit confused on the whole Geth thing of siding with the Reapers, the need for Legion to be hanged and used as he was, and then his... death? I thought that Geth don't die in that sense?

But yeah, Mordin's - Someone else could have gotten it wrong, and the seashells thing, but also the way he sings his tune - has to be number 1 for me.
Talking with Garrus (the calibrations joke, but also closer to the end before the end) - the bit shown above with the bottle shooting.
But also, in my playthrough I walked in on Garrus and Tali
Joker's goodbye before the final battle was touching, as were lots of others

    EDIT:
But The Funniest Phrase by Shepard was when a Yagh ran away on Salarian Homeworld: "There goes the next Shadow Broker"
    Priceless.

Heh, I think if you have Garrus in your party, after you see that Yahg, he says something along the lines of "Yeah, I think I heard him mutter 'T'Soni'"

Obviously the ending wasn't good, but also I am a bit confused on the whole Geth thing of siding with the Reapers,
As was told in the course of the Rannoch campaign, the Quarians discovered a method of overloading the Geth with random useless data, which interfered with their collective consciousness and rendered them a lot less capable of fighting. That's why the Quarians attacked the Geth and started to wipe the floor with them in the first place.
When the Quarians destroyed the massive "brain" station that the Geth were building as their final home (Legion mentions it in ME2 already: Basically, it's a giant space station server that all the Geth could upload their consciousnesses to. Think of it as "The Matrix" for Geth), millions of programs that were already uploaded to the server were unable to transfer themselves to the rest of the fleet, because the Quarians were interfering with their systems and the station wasn't finished yet. They also didn't have the time to upload everyone to bodies and evacuate those, so, in effect, millions of Geth died on that station. That's when the Geth realized that they would be wiped out by the Quarians without getting help - the Reapers came in and made them an offer they couldn't reject.
the need for Legion to be hanged and used as he was
Legion was a unique model among the Geth, outfitted, among others, with communications equipment that could reach throughout the galaxy. Legion tells you that the com equipment was why the Reapers used him as a transmitter for their signal. After Legion got separated from the systems, the Reapers had to resort to the local transmitter they set up on Rannoch, which had a much shorter range overall. It seems like the Reapers simply used what was on hand, rather than building a galaxy-wide transmitter of their own.
, and then his... death? I thought that Geth don't die in that sense?
That's a tricky thing. Legion was special compared to the other Geth in so far as that he was built to be much more selfsufficient from the start. As he tells Shepard in ME2, his platform holds a much greater number of Geth programs, so that he can always form a consensus on a wider basis than other Geth. In effect, he would act as a "mini-consciousness", of sorts, which might be why the Reapers didn't get complete control over him despite his direct contact with Reaper technology.
Another thing is that thanks to the Reaper code upgrades left in him after being separated from the direct connection to Reaper technology, Legion effectively became a fully sentient "whole" being by the end of the Rannoch campaign, while all the other Geth were apparently dependent on the Reaper signal to profit from these code upgrades (because they weren't directly interfaced like Legion was). That doesn't really clear things up, but one can at least assume that Legion was no longer capable of separately handling all the parts of himself because of that (maybe all the programs inside himself were effectively "fused" together to form a unified personality program?). So to upload all of the necessary data to the Geth collective consciousness, he had to disassemble his own "program".
At least that's my current take on the thing.
