    Not sure if this is the right place, but I have recently installed RTR VII, and the latest patch. Now I can't seem to right click on anything when starting a Roman/Chartagian campaign. A unit in an army, does not respond when right clicking. Buildings in a town, do nothing when right clicking.

    The Sparta campaign seems to be woking fine.

    Any ideas?

    Its because the script havent started yet , you gotta wait few seconds or click on a town.

    Why cant i change my AA quality? i changed it manually in my preference.txt but when i check it in game it says off and i am unable to select a different option. Then i check my preference.txt again and it is back to OFF automatically.

    Any help is greatly appreciated

    I'm not sure if this is intentional, but instead of helpful hints, now my loading screens just say "patch".

    The patch will be released as soon as the bug's fixed. I'm sorry for the great delay, but we want to have this fixed and since progress is slow the release will have to wait

    I don't know about the anti-aliasing, sorry.

    As for the quotes, have a look at the FAQ:

    This isn't something to worry about. The quotes were removed as part of a CTD fix, after which we decided to use them to show the version number of the mod.

    I've installed RTR VII and then 2(a) then 2(b) hotfix, but I can't run the game.
    I get to the first loading screen, when the game starts then I get this error:

    What have I've done wrong? How can I fix it?

    Is it just me or Sparta faction is overpowered ?
    Everytime i play a Greek faction ,they conquer everything and everyone around them ,south of Greece ,and "run" torward my faction wiht 2 to 3 full armies !!!

    I've reinstalled the game, clean install with BI patched up to 1.6
    Then I've installed the RTR 7, plus the old patch (1a). Still I get the same error, but this time another txt file...
    I don't understand it, just a few month ago I was playing with this mod, with the 1a patch, and now it not works...

    This is what I get after the first loading screen(when the game starts:


    Script error in RTRVII/data/descr_building_battle/dbb_walls_roman.txt

    Unable to open spot fx file
    data/models_buildings/spot_fx/roman_city_gateway_spot_fx.CAS

    Update:
    I've tried out with downloading the RTR VII mod again in case it was corrupted, installed again, but this time without any patch.
    Still the same error?

    Is there anyone who can help me out?

    maybe your antivir make some trouble.
    last resort: install in a neutral desktopfolder and copy paste directly

    This sounds like an installation error for sure, but I don't know why re-installing doesn't work

    I've tried to turn off antivir (nod32) and installing it to an empty folder, and then copy paste it to the destination folder, still, the problem is present.

    Can anyone post me the file "roman_city_gateway_spot_fx.CAS" ?
    Maybe if I put it there manually it will work.

    Update:
    I've checked the file location and it is not there! Not even in the clean install folder! So maybe if I can get that file from someone it will work!

    Hey guys, two issues: The wooden palisades (the walls you can stand on) seem to give me error messages about a lime texture. This causes a CTD, however is fixed by attempting to click on the error box while on the loading screen. The second one is that I'm in a late game, and I get a CTD everytime I try to enter a battle. It's not limited to one battle, but two - one is where the carthiginians have sieged their main town in Morrocco, and the second one is a battle against the Aedui in Mid-western Francce somewhere. This is really dampening my dampeners. Is there anyway to fix this?

    The walls will be fixed in the next patch. The CTD's are most likely the hardcoded reinforcement-bug, I'm afraid the only thing you can do is destroy the complete reinforcing army or retreat from the battle and fight both forces separately. Sorry

    But the problem in the north - that one isn't being reinforced at all. Would that one be affected by the battle in the South?

    Installed RTRVII, patch 2 and hotfix.

    Game opened and started fine. Played the first battle and won. Next turn, everything seemed fine at the beginning but after I moved my army (the same army I'd won the battle with) into some Eperotites nearby, I got a message "Battle Lost" and something about catching Pyrros before he took Rhetium and then couldn't end turn. Many towns also showed blanks in the city click window and I couldn't open them.

    i uploaded the file for you. http://www.sendspace.com/file/xeoier
    but i think you have a corrupt vanilla install.
    in rtr this file is not needed. it´s in the normal vanilla data/models_buildings/spot_fx folder not in the RTRVII folder
