    Basically, my solution will only solve it for new campaigns. The error kicks in when one of the characters dies, which I assume is what happens there. Obviously, there isn't a way of stopping characters from dying sooner or later, so it is fairly impossible to cure it mid-campaign...

    Here's the fix. Paste it over world/maps/campaign/barbarian_invasion/descr_strat and delete world/maps/base/map.rwm It will only apply to new campaigns, but should make them a lot more stable.

    1. Great mod - thanks to it my old RTW backs to live once again. Thank you for your job.
    2. Everything is working great so far for me, but I have noticed small bug - in Halicarnassos I saw miss of Mausoleum picture - there is barracks picture. Description is ok, but picture is missed.

    To Caligulla Caesar - thanks again for your hotfix! I have started a new campaign for kingdom of Pergamon and so far (about 260BC) there is no serious bug at all. I also found that hotfix on totalrealism.org - makes me happy and proud I could help the community by getting to point of that CTD bug Even as it was for the prize of losing my well started Roman campaign! So, again, thanks for your quick response and solution

    Thanks Sorry about the CTDs before, we really tried to catch them for ages without success. I thought I'd checked that particular source of CTDs, but either things had been changed since then or I did it half asleep Anyway, I'm glad the game is stable again.

    First of all RTRVII is a beautiful mod I want to thank to all of you good people for making it.

    Anyway I juts started my Getai campaign and stumbled upon silly issue. I had Kallatis on siege for one turn just to build ladders, and next turn when I wanted to take Kallatis I couldn't bring my 3units with ladders to the walls.. Kallatis is surrounded by a forest.. Is there a solution?

    I love this mod,number one,to bad there aint to much people playing or following other campaigns .
    And i hope you get soon a person to work on those unit cards,buildings etc .

    Hmm, I know this used to be an issue, but I thought we fixed that in a patch.

    Did you install the most up-to-date version, i.e. patch 3?

    Hi, I've just installed latest version of the mod, it's my first time playing RTR VII (I played the older version with the larger map years ago) and I have to say I'm really enjoying the level of detail which has gone into all of the factions and I much prefer the more intense, scaled-down version of the map (particularly in Greece, as the conflict between the city-states feels more convincing than in any other mod I have played).

    I've only encountered one bug which sticks out so far (which I'm sure has already been mentioned) - that of the Carthaginian chariots, unfortunately missing their archers, in Sicily at the start of the game - has there already been a fix for this which I've missed ?

    Anyway sorry if this has already been asked and keep up the good work !
    + I'm playing on Steam by the way, in case that helps..

    I suspect that this has already been reported already, but the second part of the initial script---the battle between the Carthaginians and the Sicilians---does not trigger if Phyrrus's army is completely annihilated.

    On that note, I'm wondering if this has botched up the script in my campaign. That is, do I need to restart the campaign and allow some of Phyrrus's army to escape?

    @Basil: Yeah, it's on the list of bugs to fix. It should be an easy one actually but I'm in the middle of revising for exams.

    @Crymson: We tried to fix that one. It didn't work... I don't think it'll mess up the script. If you are able to get past the first turn, and the 4tpy is triggering, you'll be fine.

    Default CTD

    Hi, sorry in advance if this is the wrong thread. I'm getting a CTD on trying to enter a manual battle, it's a siege battle versus the Illyrians in the 1st town of theirs you get to, tried a custom battle with the units in the town which loaded fine.

    Hi, I want to report that playing the Campaing as the Aetolian League, whenever I take AMBRACIA, usually in 2nd or 3dr turn there is a CTD.

    @Ramiro: At exactly what point (which button do you hit) does it crash? Is there an FM in Ambracia, and if so, who?

    Hi, sorry I don't have the save any more. Just auto-resolved which was fine. As I said the CTD happened on trying to enter a manual battle, the first Illyrian city along the coast to the east of Patavium, begins with an "I" possibly, not got the PC on to check right now.

    I think I know which one you mean. I'll try and fight a battle there and see if it is the battlefield or something else
