A terrible unfortunate incident. I'm expecting another round of protests and revenge attacks after this, things like this are just impossible to prevent though.

An incident is when you hit someone with a shovel in the head this is pure crime.
Shame on anyone who signs up to go over there and fight that in that war.
i feel sadness, you accomplish nothing there. you are going to pull out soon, what do you think resulted after a decade of occupation and battle? I think there should be law a where the politicians who put these wars in motion have to send their kid to war, in the field, for at least 1 year as an obligation for voting for that war.
As long as he didn't harm a koran while killing all this people, no one will care.
Terrible, terrible murderous rampage that has the potential to set back years worth of progress made in that country regarding Western and native relationships. The lives of all servicemen and servicewomen in that country and possibly around the world are now in much greater danger.

Totally understandable. I heard Afghans were burning Bibles over there...![]()
According to this article (http://news.yahoo.com/afghan-preside...144822834.html) the death toll has risen.
All I can really say is, what the hell.As if
wasn't bad enough out there, this guy has to go and ignite more fire.
This just makes me a little more depressed about the world. The Afghan populace goes and kills a bunch of our soldiers, not ais given. They're even defended and praised. Then one guy goes out and kills a bunch of their civilians, hell's gates are let loose.
I just don't get it, all thising killing, for what? A book? Revenge? Pure insanity? Neither are innocent in their actions, yet this soldier will get more outcry.

You cannot pick and choose what to follow from your holy books. If you are truly a Christian, you must follow the bible by the letter. One read through Leviticus, where the disabled are barred from Church attendance, and homosexuals should be the least of your worry. It's the whole book or none of it, and to follow the whole book is to be immoral. So it goes.

This is very terrible and the fact that the US army can't control its soldiers from doing such things is appalling. This will further stain the US's reputation in that country and at this point maybe the best thing to do is just to get out before further mistakes.

One isolated incident and now everyone's an expert on the situation in Afghanistan AND the US military.![]()

Gotta love how when it's a U.S. soldier all the people in the media stress "allegedly" each time they talk about the incident.

"We're nice mainly because we're rich and comfortable."
It is not fault of USA, it is just a personal crime, IF USA hands the murderer to Afgan State. If not, that means USA condones the murders.

he should face time in a looney bin... THEN get sent to prison. Just makes things worse for everybody, the guy should spend the rest of his life behind bars. Although I disagree with wolf about where he should do the time.
Clearly he should be sentenced in the US.
Get a load of this:

Haji Samad said 11 of his relatives were killed in one house, including his children. Pictures showed blood-splattered walls where the children were killed.
"They (Americans) poured chemicals over their dead bodies and burned them," a weeping Samad told Reuters at the scene.
"I saw that all 11 of my relatives were killed, including my children and grandchildren," said Samad, who had left the home a day earlier.
Neighbours said they awoke to crackling gunfire from American soldiers, whom they described as laughing and drunk.
"They were all drunk and shooting all over the place," said neighbour Agha Lala, who visited one of the homes where the incident took place. "Their bodies were riddled with bullets."
