I really like controllable inquisitors.
Not too sure about the restriction to saving on Godlike. Some of us spend ages on a turn, and like to save regularly just in case the game crashes. If the player can only save every second turn or has to rely on the autosave at the end of the turn, and has a few epic battles to fight - even one is enough - and the game crashes either during or after the battle (or there is a powercut) *BEFORE* any save is able to be made, then a lot of progress could (will) be lost. Combine this with BGR V, and it would be really frustrating. This has nothing to do with reloading and fixing mistakes, more to do with saving regularly so you don't have to redo and redo the same bloomin' thing - if you got called away from the computer in the middle of a turn, and then had to finish your play session, not being able to save would be a deal breaker (leaving the game running for hours isn't always an option, either).
As for pausing in battle, I can certainly understand stopping anyone from issuing orders while the game is paused. Pause shouldn't ever be taken out completely because if you have to leave the computer during the battle, or want to take screenshots (more the former than the latter), pause is very useful.

Re-emerging faction is really the feature that should have been in the vanilla game since it was released in 2006, but great to see you are going to add it to 7.0! It simply makes campaign much more interesting!
Nice preview and really can't wait to see what more is to come!

This update is definitely looking to be a great one! The possibility to get an even bigger challenge is very much appreciated, especially since challenge tends to be rather lacking in games nowadays. Now if I was a great Total War player I would get even more enjoyment out of it... but I think I'll go for the maximum difficulty nonetheless, be it just to see how hard I get beaten by it.
Very much looking forward to the new version, keep up the great work!
So I decided to browse the forum after yet another CTD. Just wanted to chip in that having "legendary" limited free save feature is neat and all except for the painful reality of release quality. I don't mean to be a jerk about it but if, say, you hardcore beta tested it and could play entire 400 turn campaigns with one or two crashes then it would be an absolute fantastic idea.
But we both know Stainless Steel is far far too prone to crashes than that. I'm 114 turns into this campaign and I've had oh I don't know 20? 30? crashes. Unless 7.0 is immensely more stable then Godmode is just going to drive all but the super hardcore players crazy.
Just my 2 cents.
I see the better and approve; I follow the worse.
If you liked my post or thought I was helpful, hit that +rep and leave your name so I can keep an eye out for when you deserve some. Unless you suck. Then you aren't getting crap. Ever.
Does someone know will it be a stand-alone?
These new features look great Well done SS Team

Fresh install-clean folder-steam win7. It's a shame but that's the way it is. I'm sure I'm just on the shallow side of stability and there are people that complete an entire grand campaign with one or less crashes. However in absence of corporate level quality assurance it is my strong opinion that the team should focus on other features.
Again I do insist that its a fantastic idea. I just think some people will . . find difficulty not just in the settings but the random crashes.
Sorry, but any idea when will it come out? Thanks.
Yeah I thought that also XD,
Don't troll me, I'm just curious about the mod
