TWC is slow as hell...

has anyone noticed? every time i am trying to open a new page or post something it takes 3 to 4 extra seconds to actually do it...

and yes it is just TWC and i have talked to some friends and they experience the same problem as me.

Nope. Only time it takes a few seconds is if there are a ton of pictures.

First of all, I don't know how slow everything is in hell so I can't really compare the speed. But, with me TWC loads pages really fast so...

I must confess that I have been experiencing slow loading like Toho. Even a page freeze.
Now it could be my explorer search engine?
I have been a bit afraid of google chrome since their new privacy or lack of it was introduced.

I use Chrome and I load a page within 1 or 2 seconds.

I use Chrome as well, and mine is kinda slow. Altho, my internet is always a bit slow, so it might not be TWC

i am using opera and either i am at home or outside loading and doing a post takes a very long time...sometimes i think that the browswer crashed but everything else is fine.

I've noticed that occasionally a page will take 5-10 extra seconds to load. I think for me it started happening around the Feb 25 server problem.

That wasnt a server problem.


I added 16 gigs of RAM yesterday and made some changes to how PHP and CGI work. As you can see the system is using the new RAM.





I may still need to configure a few things but the site is running well for me.

It's taking a second or two for me, before the page even starts loading. Once it starts, it loads quickly, but sending and requesting information seems to be taking much longer than usual.

It has, on occasion and with no discernible pattern and often at the exact same time that I'm browsing another site with similar or greater content and no noticeable delay, been taking roughly 2-5 seconds to load for me for the past two-three months. In that time I've rebooted the router on several occasions, changed the DNS servers I use, reinstalled the operating system twice and spent several days at other locations using different machines.

This really isn't a problem for me, but it TWC specific as far as I can tell. But as I've been unable to determine a cause on my end or totally eliminate the cause being on my end, that is only an assumption. The one thing I have not done is regularly run and record pings to the TWC servers.

Ive been getting random 503s a few times a day for the last few days now.

Same here, regardless which browser I'm using (ie, chrome, firefox) and it only happens on TWC no other site.

I am noticing that everyone having issues is overseas. Can you guys post a tracert for me? The last time something like this was happening it ended up being a DNS server somewhere in England that was causing problems. You can fix that by using Google's DNS servers.
