Why is this CTD happenning?

Hello DARTH and husserlTW!!

I've ALSO have the CTD issue when I configure the launcher and press PLAY.
I have followed every step and suggestion in the forum but with no luck..

The only thing I managed is, when I close and loggout from Steam, I start the game from the launcher, Steam starts and the game launches fine till I choose to enter the DARTH Grand Campaign then and even THEN get a CTD..

I also play DARTH Empire too with no problems or CTDs!
I have checked DMN's files and they are installed diferently than DARTH Empire's files in the data folder, maybe you could check the installer again is my suggestion cose there are so many people here that have this CTD issue at startup.

I play in Windows 7 Ultimate x64, I disabled the UAC, installed Steam, Empire and Napoleon in C:/Steam... etc., after I owned the Steam folder, I configured the launcher to run as administrator,
I have done everything you guys suggested through a frastrating search but nothing...

I really don't understand why I play DME with NO problems at all and I have issues with DMN???

If you could suggest me anything else I would be most appreciated!!!

That is the secure way to receive a CTD... You have to login manually Steam and then start DMN launcher.

Thanks for the reply my friend but I tried that also but nothing...

But my question is, why DMN's files are diferently placed in the Napoleon main folder than DMUC?
If you place the files like DMUC I believe there won't be a CTD since my game is so stable, wouldn't it?
Is the engine so far diferent than Empire????

Forget DMUC, this is Sparta.. sorry I mean DMN, so follow always the given instructions! You have installed mod in the right place since game is launched by DMN launcher.

Have in mind that after you receive a CTD because Steam started automatically by DMN launcher, manual way I suggested won't work until your machine is rebooted.

Is it possible for you to give me a step by step installation cose I'm not seeing playing this awsome mod if I can't manage to get it to work...
But AFTER you have installed vanilla and play properly ok? Just a step by step for DMN.
I think there is something basic I'm missing here and I can't figure it out, I don't know..

There are no any special instructions, run setup to install mod, login Steam if you have not already, start launcher, select options and campaign and play.

Ok a strange thing happened,
I try to start the game from the launcher and I get a CTD but when I launch it from vanilla shortcut from my deskdop the game starts with DMN perfect...!!!

Since the game launches well, then it's all ok my friend, thank you very much!!!

The important think is to.. work and not the way of working so it is good to here that you can play DMN.
